Blake is being very Welsh in this episode. His intonation has been given lots of opportunities to "lilt". I love it when he lapses into Welsh accent. One of my fave lines in The Way Back is when he says: "What about my me-mo-ry" There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

We had an earthquake a few years ago - felt (and sounded) like a truck had come off the road and hit the building. Rated mag 3 it was on the Craven fault, and miles away - wouldn't like to be in anything bigger!

I don't especially like this episode. But I am now toying with the idea that the limiter might have been designed by the Federation to do this - it keeps a violent prisoner sedated, but can be triggered to drive him beserk. He can be turned from a meek animal to a killing machine in seconds. It is breaking down insofar as it is not actually being triggered by the Federation (or is it?) but it is feature, not bug. Interesting theory. I think it credits the Federation with more advanced tech than they actually seem to have - was Gan's limiter experimental? We never hear of anyone else having one, or being threatened with getting one (unlike eg being turned into a Mutoid). There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

These planets have tiny populations. Jenna says 'population in excess of 7,000,000' as if it was something - but that's about the population of London, isn't it? Slightly off-topic, but when I was choosing a forum name to use for Weight Watchers (I like to be pseudonymous online), I decided to be 'Cassiona'. Still waiting for somebody to identify it as a B7 reference, but it is quite obscure! There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

I was amused to see Julian Glover as one of Darth Vader's short-lived generals in The Empire Strikes Back a few weeks ago. |

The Earth is being ripped open or crashing together. Needless to say, several of my Syrian friends in Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras are still living outside in the cold. Fortunately, my friend Fiona had bought her 'family' a whole building which seems to be sound. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

On the Limiter experiment theory... so maybe there's another (space) laboratory working on a better version even now! One that the patient doesn't even know about, perhaps.

VILA: The trouble with a genius, is you’re never quite sure what he’s up to. Vila uses this speech to distract Cally and Jenna while he takes a gun from the armoury. Is Vila trying to tell us he’s a genius… Love the irony of this. |

He's essentially voicing what they all feel – and he gets Blake to admit – but is getting in first in case he flakes. Last ep and this he doesn't at all. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

One of the online coaches was - and a bloke, too! But he didn't get the reference, though he liked it when I used the Teleport Bay for zoom background. Sadly, he's gone back to doing local RL meetings in south London, so I can't chat B7 with him any more. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Everyone, Turkish friends included, is safe. The friend of one woman I know lost 14 people in her family. We've sent massive funds to our friends to pay for fuel, food, blankets, baby food etc. for themselves and help others. Same to Syria through a Syrian archaeologist friend. Direct, on-the-ground help is working faster than the authorities. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

In a way I don't mind the changes that occur because they 'fit'. Everyone goes through lots of terrifying experiences that are going to affect them in different ways. To imagine that real people would just keep popping up, week after week, and not be affected at all is fantasy. Vila uses one of his guises as a defense and then, ultimately, falls into it. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.
