By the end of that ep, Blake is THE BOSS.

He'd certainly like to think so. I think it's a bit two-way - the rest of them are glad to let him - because they expect the Feds will beat him up sooner rather than later,, and rather him than them.

Yes, he's taking the BOSS mantle. And everyone else is just like Vila taking a back seat when the heat is on,

In a burst of New Year Resolution-ness, I've started the thread for next week's ep.
Gotta go now - I've got 25 mins in which to cook vegetables before my next Zoom.
It was lovely being able to join you all for this rewatch. Love to Tyce and Pilot.
And Happy New Year to everybody!

Has anyone ever written lyrics for the B7 theme tune?

Vere Lorrimer did, and wanted Steven Pacey to sing them. They were not good!

Ha ha ha.

This is not the 'There's a distant star' that is constantly being slung about on the other thread? If so, that is not a promising beginning.

That's right - it starts "There's a distant star, in a distant sky" - it's the sort of thing you'd get as a theme on a Gerry Anderson, but not as good as Fireball XL5 or Aqua Marina!

Ridiculously, I still know the lyrics to both of those.

OK then. Bye, Travisina.
Enjoy the rest of the night, Obsidian.
Hope you have a greast NYE, Anne, even if you are on the wrong side of the Pennines.

And a Happy and prosperous 2023 to us all.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Enjoyed the rewatch. Best Wishes for 2023 Anne and MsVirn.

Tyce says, "Does this mean that in 2 and a half hours time we'll be in the 4th century of the 2nd calender".

Why not? It's as good a calendar as any.

Happy New Year everyone. I need to go too - I have a friend coming round for tea and the house needs to be tidied.

Thanks for the rewatch. See you next week for another great episode.

See you in the New Year!

OK, I have now googled 'There's a distant star' - and, yes, that's dreadful. It seems to fit a completely different show.

That's the one!

Just popping in to provide the full lyric:

Distant Star

There's a distant star
in a distant sky
past the edge of time
way past Gemini.
Peace is there,
only beauty meets the eye.
Oh my love,
that's where we must fly,
and let the world go by,
Just you and I.

Come, hit the Stardust Trail,
we'll throw our cap at Mars;
we'll catch a comet's tail,
and we'll sail
to the stars!

Though the years go by
like a silver stream,
if our love is true,
we will find our dream.
Travellin' on,
suddenly that's where we are;
That distant star,
that distant star,
that shining distant star!

It's fair to say the above lyrics wouldn't have quite matched the content of virtually all the episodes from Series D Smile
Vote Og.

Thanks for the lyrics TT. I was going to have to dig out my copy of Horizon to find them. Classically awful but wonderful all the same. And yes, not exactly applicable to Series D. Happy New Year! Mxx
