Crimmos - very susceptible to polystyrene boulders. Props did try to make the 'boulders' look like the real rocks, though. A bit. I thought they did well. And the actors made a great show of heaving them over the edge. Back in high school we had loads of fun in art class making things with polystyrene. We probably poisoned ourselves silly because a lot of the shaping was done by burning it. I'll bet that's how they got the round edges on the boulders, and the streaks. So, who still thinks 'Killer' was a dud episode compared with this one? I still have that problem with Killer, that question of 'Why did they assume that they were not infected?' It still annoys the hell out of me. But this is not a great episode either. |

For me, you can't beat the second half of series 4 - although I will admit that the first half is poor. I always think that I don't like series 2 - because I remember episodes like this one - but it's growing on me this time round. When I used to watch the 90s Star Treks and Babylon 5, there was often a noticeable run of poor episodes just after the half-way mark in their long series - that seems to be what we have stumbled upon here. |
