The whole colour-scheme of series D - greys with coloured accents - is so very eighties.

Hi AnneA!

Actually, it's very depressing, which is what it's meant to be.

Like the whole of Blakes 7 really - they do wonders with bleak quarries, bleak industrial plants, bleak . . .

Bleak's 7, though this had been said before. UK politics at the time were very mean, nasty and bleak and it shows.

I can't imagine what a set reflecting current UK policies would look like! Superficially flashy, but everything falls apart at the first touch?

About as trashy as they currently are: all show and no substance.

With lots of nasty little intrigues and deals going on behind the scenes. Now where have we seen that before?

It's only been a couple of days and I'm running out of party supplies already. Yes, I'm all alone here with a dog, three cats, several sheep and the hens. Completely alone.

So, the animals aren't the partying kind? Rats!Grin

So you see, I really need these rewatches! My only human contact... apart from several phone calls and a visit from my son who 'just happened to be passing, so he thought he'd say hello'. Honestly, you'd think they didn't trust me.

I know what you mean, really. A morose bloke and two cats that don't get on is really sparkling company.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

If Dorian is exhausted, how do he manage to walk down all those stairs?

So plus ca change, then?

If anyone recognises the glasses, please let me know. They look like 1980 Habitat but...

Quite a few things still to add to Vila Restal's Compendium Of Blake's 7 Barware.

I think they're more probably Woolworths. This is a show on a budget, after all.

Again, the red accent is very eighties. I have a whole collection of kitchen storage jars with red lids.

Oh, before I forget, Travisina sends her love. She's still with us - just. Lots of real life going on atm, but she is managing to keep her head above water.

Not so. Most of the glass ware is top-of-the-line Scandinavian/Nordic and British art glass. Just like all the VERY expensive MCM furniture.

Speaking of Woolworths, that’s probably where they picked up those glasses with the red lines on them, they were obviously cheaper by the dozen.

See above. The glassware was and still is, very expensive art glass. The cheapest I've clocked is the Ravenhead Fiesta glasses used by Servalan's "powder poof" in Freedom City.

In his spare time, Dorian seems to have altered the outfit Tarrant has changed out of to make one for himself.

Tyce
Why doesn’t Dayna just stay right near the entrance, and as soon as Tarrant opens the entrance, she could duck out?? Am I being picky tonight?

So which 'death scene' is worse, Dorian's or Piri's?

That would be far too sensible - and it would ruin the plot.

Somehow I can't imagine Avon making such a fuss. He'd just slump down in a heap, grinning.

I was just thinking what a shame it was that young Geoffrey died of the '80s disease. He is rather good.

He'd go out on one of my favourite songs: "Life's a Gamble" by Australia's own Radiators.

I'm obviously alone in finding Dorian rather tedious. I have no desire at all to see any more of him.

Ah, but Avon does get Soolin who's as tough as nuts. He would definitely have provided some snappy repartee. Whether or not Chris Boucher could keep it up, though.

Well, he is megalomaniacal, but when has that been a problem?

He would have been toned down had he continued. I just like Geoffrey as an actor. And I like these new, pointy sideburns.

Pointy sideburns feature on the bloke in charge of the visacast in The Hunger Games, too.

Now, did someone say that the actor briefly playing the gorgeous dead youth was someone famous?
