Glad you're feeling better, shame that you are still testing positive.

Surely it can't be much longer!

Juat in case anyone doesn't know about TT's drinking game (see the UK rewatches), here it is:

Before we go any further, it’s time to introduce the Season Derek drinking game:

Here’s the number of sips/swigs per each of these:
Avon is knocked unconscious 1
A scientist dies (per scientist) 5
A member of the main cast wears the same costume as last week (per costume) 2
There’s the sequence (or part of the sequence) of Scorpio landing / taking off at Xenon Base 3
Vila drinks something red (per scene) 10
Tarrant falls in love 5
Soolin shoots someone (per person) 5
Slave says “sorry” (each mention) 1
Each mention of “Sleer” 2
Avon laughs manically and/or smiles inappropriately 5
There’s a downbeat ending in sharp contrast to the jangly end theme 10
The final shot of the episode includes Paul Darrow 3
A member of the main cast is killed or stunned (per cast member) 1 bottle of wine / 1 can of beer

Brilliant - thanks for posting here, MVirn! Grin

After seeing the end of the Liberator & seeing Scorpio blast onto the scene I grown a liking to it & SLAVE

I rather like Scorpio - a plain workhorse of a ship, nothing fancy.

It was a sensible production decision. Nothing could be as magnificent as Liberator, so instead of trying to recreate or better it, they went for a plain, basic ship, in need of lots of upgrades (teleport, stardrive etc) - which also provided plot devices for several episodes.

Urk, the dreaded Covid - sorry you've got it, Anne. I had it at the beginning of August. Weird thing was that I tested negative for the first couple of days and thought I just had a really bad cold/cough. On the 5th day - when I was already starting to feel better - I tested positive. Go figure.

I haven't felt too bad with it - like a mild flu. I'm quite tired now, but feeling a bit less so every day. But it's as if time is standing still at the moment. Very tedious.

You'd be sloshed on the 'Vila drinking something red' sculling alone! LOL

There are many rubbish aspects to this ep - this being one of them. War of the Sexes, indeed. Says more about Ben Steed than anything else. "You were a great Seska" "Now I'm a woman" - like you can't be both?

Me too. He's rather lovely - likes sewing and indoor games, and he and Nina love each other. All the fighting stuff is just bluster.

So very true. They're implying you can either be strong OR a woman, so misogynistic!

It does seem to suggest that a woman needs a man. Difficult to know how these societies function. If the Hommiks expose girl babies, let the Seska bring them up and then capture them, that seems an awful waste of effort.

Men do have more upper body strength, but women have greater stamina!

'Me too' (pardon the 'Me too' movement pun). It's why I've never liked this episode.

Exactly. And throughout time there have always been strong women and weaker men, and nothing wrong with that.

For sure. And Jenna, Cally, Dayna and Soolin as well as several guest characters. B7 was groundbreaking for its time by having strong female characters. I just wish they hadn't hired Ben Steed to write 3 questionable episodes.

Why didnt they just get Orac to instruct Slave to not launch Scorpio?
