When I was 1st watching this, I couldn't believe what Avon seemed to be doing. I still have trouble thinking he would have chucked Vila out of the airlock.

It would have been an interesting alternative to see what might have happened if Vila and Avon had come face to face.

In my head, I have an image of Vila ejecting himself out the airlock, not in self sacrifice, but knowing Avon was going to do it anyway, and not wanting to give Avon the satisfaction (if that's the right word).

And then Avon makes it back to Scorpio, and they all believe he murdered Vila.

That's a good one...or a bad one rather...

How would we describe Avon's demeanour/actions at the beginning of this story? Highly strung?

John Savident and Larry Noble really deserved their own series.

So highly strung he is teetering on the edge of the abyss of madness.

And give Paul credit for playing him differently than he ever has before.

I always have to chuckle at the picture quality of Egrorian's 'infallible' video system... Shock

Why did Avon choose to take Vila and not one of the others?

And Chekov's pistol is placed for the finale.

Looks like a third-generation video tape of B7 from 1985! We were all desperate to have our own copies!

From the moment Avon N Vila step, in step, into Egrorian's place you knew there would be fun. Making the later events all the more shocking.

I wonder how this scene looks on a third-generation video tape from 1985? Probably like a sixth generation video tape.

So is the little machine there to push the bit of neutron star out of the airlock.

Actually, the tachyon funnel looks like a third-generation video tape of B7 from 1985!

All those years, decades ago, we used to watch the NASA rockets launch on one of these audio-video devices Egrorian is pawning off as his Tachyon Funnel. No, just a bargain basement tv frame on wheels.

Cos he believed Vila would do his bidding without giving him too much trouble and that he had greater control over him.

AVON: Why do you want Orac?
Because Servie wants Orac. The word "ma'am"is already mentioned.

I lived in Orlando in the late 60's. We used to go out on the playground and watch the Saturn Five rise into the sky from fifty miles away.

Watch for Jax to back up and bump up against the set, but still keeps going besides the slight surprise she shows.

It really fit, given the circumstances. Egrorian even creeps Servie out.,

Egrogrorian is being a bit self deluded here. Does he have a plan to prevent Servalan killing him once she has everything?

If it had been Paul that banged into it, bits of the set would have fallen off!

Egrorian moving a portable greenhouse, a video tape holder- they put all sorts of junk on that set. Works.

Nicely synched movement of JS's hand control and the movement on screen.

Good that the fake Orac doesn't come out of the blue but could already be seen in Games! That was genius!

And now the concept of the Neutron Star is planted.

Brilliant script.

Old Starkiller really suffered some brain damage after the rapid decompression that occurred when Liberator attacked Fed HQ.

Not as such. Either he's willing to accept her offer - partnership - which is unlikely, or I think he's planning to get rid of her as well, and imagines he's clever enough to stay one step ahead. He doesn't know her as well as we do, does he?

Yes, he is no longer the man he once was - the only human ever to destroy a Minbari cruiser.

Orac's sounding rather too smug when he announces they won't make it. Shouldn't it/he be worried?

Nice detail, Orac shifting place when that shuttle sets to manual.
