Yes not many single roles but a solo with SLAVE?.... Sorry....

Ms. Virn thanks for that clarification regarding name change of Servalan.

That's just my reading of it. Don't know what anyone else thinks.

Justin - definitely creepy already.

Tyce, so sorry that you won't be with us again. That's a real shame. Hope all is well with you.

No, no you miss read my message. I was being sarcastic. I was bemoaning the fact that the week that I’m available is the week that we get to rewatch Animals. LOL[/quote]

Just your luck...

It's got some redeeming features:

1. The kids are allowed out by themselves (and see what trouble they get into)

2. Og and the animals are cute, especially when angry

3. The buddleia are doing really well

4. Avon makes a good save

My main problem with it is that it's so slow and stilted; it's as if they're speaking slowly instead of padding.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

OOO! Handbags at dawn. May I point out that in a few episodes time Servalan won't be quite so contemptuous of our Tarrant?

Pilot53
Maybe so Ms. Virn , I'm inclined to agree you're right.

Tyce I've been to Quybeanne ( apologies for the miss spelling) years ago. Nice neat town, narrow streets though. Nice friendly people.

Agreed Queanbeyan is a nice place. I lived there for about 5 years. Sadly it is very low lying, and the town that always gets flooded when there is heavy rain.

Yes, I think we have to, but it seems as though there's not enough script and that they didn't have enough time to rehearse. Of course, there were all the Cally/Dayna script changes that can't have helped.

Sorry I'm late again. Does anyone else find series 4 to split into 2 halves? With the possible exception of Rescue, the first half has is rather poor, but from Games onward they are, IMO some of the best.

In this episode, I rather like the Ogg animals - but that's about it.

For me, the worst bit is the 'brainwashing'. The script for that exchange is SO SLOW and OVERDONE. Not even Jacs can overcome it!

But (as she admits herself) having got the gun, she finds she can't use it. More than just decorative, I would say.

It just reminds me horribly of a very bright, 1970s' dental hygienist's outfit.

Another plus: Servie's beautiful feather cape.

A rather Brexity dental hygienist. I'm feeling rather allergic to red white and blue at the moment.

Actually, on a closer look, it's red white and black. I'm letting my prejudices blind me . . .

Agreed. And don’t get me started on which idiot decided to plant European crops in Australia (which is 90% desert) so that as soon as there’s a drought everything dies and farmers go bankrupt and our food supply is stuffed (again).

It is VERY slow. Right now Justin is saying "you don't think... I..."

Dayna: "It must... have had... some..."

You mean like wine grapes?Wink
Actually, all those crops aren't European, they are from the Middle East originally, it's just that there there is at least some soil cover. Australia has none. Also, here, because of the large areas involved, stupid, stupid people thought it was a good idea to have vast areas of monoculture. Ans they decided to build houses all over the most arable land. Worst ideas ever. Worse even than Justin's genetic engineering.

Jacs is SO good in this. Again. She says so much without speaking - which is what Justin - and on this occasion, most of the rest - don't manage to do. I wonder what her opinion of the episode was!
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

AnneArthur
Justin really is a piece of work - but the Dayna relationship makes him even more creepy. If it had been Cally he had been involved with, we would be focussing on the ethics of his work with the animals, rather than his involvement with a minor.

Obsidian
For someone who doesn't know much, Ardus knows a lot about Bucol 2. Wouldn't be in the script just for a bit of exposition, would he? Oh, and for showcasing Servie's evil deeds.

Yes, but by then she'd have been taken over by an alien of some sort.

The way most of them are reciting their lines, it's as if they were pushed out onto the sets by the director at the end of pointy sticks and are going "Must we?"
