Rewatch Downunder - D5 Animals, Saturday 29th October
Travisina
Rewatch Australia: D5 Animals
Saturday 29th October 2022, 10.30am (UK) / 8.30pm (Australia)

In which she loves him, she loves him not... Dayna meets up with her former tutor (shudder) and a load of hairy animals (aww). Oh, and Servalan, mustn't forget her Dastardly Plot of the Week.
There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Oh god! Unfortunately I’m available this week…. Bad planning! LOL

Do you UK guys turn your clocks back tonight? Can I suggest that next weeks times are:
- 9:30am in the UK and
- 8:30pm in Australia.

Alternatively, the UK time remains at 10:30am and Australia moves to 9:30pm…. and I have a feeling I might be asleep when the rewatch starts if we do that.

Down & safe. Here pouring rain & most parts of Melbourne flooded. Roads washed away , suburbs cut off from each other. Hope all are well, Tyce & Obs here up North hope you're all well.

Still trying to work out why Servalan changed her name to Commissioner Slear rather use her own name? Poor Ogg felt sorry for him & Dayna being hypnotised in turning against Justine.

Hi, Pilot! You're way ahead of us all again. Most of the others won't even be up yet. This episode isn't B7's finest hour, as I think most of us agree, but Og is very special to some fans (mostly TT) and of course Justin is known as 'Creepy Justin'.

I believe Servalan changed her name because she was trying to take over the Presidency after the war, hoping nobody was left who knew her from before. She killed off everyone she could think of, but the name might have been remembered as the Supreme Commander who more or less wrecked the Federation by letting Star One be destroyed. And by not keeping the aliens out, leading to the Galactic War.

So - how are you managing with all the flooding?

My vote would be for 09.30 GMT.

That sounds really bad! Does it affect you getting to work or shopping etc?

Gee, Pilot53, you're early again. We spacers move with the Galactic breezes. Grin Interesting to hear that you're now getting rained on down there. We're ok up here in Canberra, though we do the occasional good/bad flood. Are you affected at all? You're out on the plains, aren't you?

Tyce, so sorry that you won't be with us again. That's a real shame. Hope all is well with you.

Hi there, MsVirn. Us chickens again?
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Hi Pilot53, Yes you guys are still copping it. You poor buggers I’ve been underwater for 3 weeks now. I hope at least that your house is not flooded Pilot53. Things are okay here it has been raining but most of Canberra is safe and today it was even sunny. :-)

I guess we're starting our rewatch at 25 to, again. Oh, and before I forget, Travisina sends her apologies - she has yet another appointment today.

That's good to hear Pilot53. It's fairly flat there, isn't it? Hills to the north?

Busy girl, our Travisina. Her fingers and toes must look dandy now after last week's zhooshing.

Hi, Obsidian and...Tyce? I was almost certain she was here.... but now I'm not so sure.

Melton is 45ks West of Melbourne bout a good 50min drive, straight up the Western highway. If you continue driving up the Hwy you'll end up driving to South Australia then onto Western Australia

Not if you have a kayak. I won’t put LOL at the end of the sentence because it’s actually pretty serious in many areas at the moment. Although of course it is strongly recommended that you don’t go in the water unless you absolutely have to, to reach safety.

No, no you miss read my message. I was being sarcastic. I was bemoaning the fact that the week that I’m available is the week that we get to rewatch Animals. LOL

Tyce
I pressed play at our usual 5 minutes late time.

Tyce I've been to Quybeanne ( apologies for the miss spelling) years ago. Nice neat town, narrow streets though. Nice friendly people.

As far as I know the city of Melbourne isn’t flooded??? I hope not anyway because I’m going to be there on Wednesday for a week due to a wonderful ABBA event.

Just your luck...

It's got some redeeming features:

1. The kids are allowed out by themselves (and see what trouble they get into)

2. Og and the animals are cute, especially when angry

3. The buddleia are doing really well

4. Avon makes a good save

My main problem with it is that it's so slow and stilted; it's as if they're speaking slowly instead of padding.

OOO! Handbags at dawn. May I point out that in a few episodes time Servalan won't be quite so contemptuous of our Tarrant?

Agreed Queanbeyan is a nice place. I lived there for about 5 years. Sadly it is very low lying, and the town that always gets flooded when there is heavy rain.

Only because she wants to use him and get the gun. Decorative, remember?
