 UK Rewatch - A4 Time Squad (Tuesday, January 28th)

The episode: Albert Four – Time Squad (Carry On Homicidal Maniac) The date: Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which the seven are complete, and Jenna finds out about Gan's limiter while they try to keep the homicidal maniacs at bay. And talking of homicidal maniacs (well, as far as the Federation are concerned), Blake starts his terror campaign by blowing up Oldbury / Gloucestershire Power Station. Episode in a word: Cally. Character to cheer: Our favourite guerrilla fighter does make a memorable debut here by kicking Blake’s ass. Characters to boo: The homicidal maniacs, obviously. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: The three…. (SPOILERS!) four homicidal maniacs are played by extras and don’t get any dialogue. So let’s concentrate on someone else, even though we probably also see the odd flash of his face. Frank Maher does the stuntwork here. He was in tons of shows, including the Avengers, where he was beaten to a pulp by Honor Blackman and Diana Rigg on a regular basis. Oh, and he was Patrick McGoohan's double in the Prisoner. Best line: What could it be apart from: “I plan to live forever. Or die trying.” Blake’s 7 will return in… Carry On Again Homicidal Maniac Vote Og.

From the Electronic Journal of Roj Bear. We were on our way to see some bloke called Major Saurian after what passes for a thorough discussion amongst the Bosses comrades, when we picked up a distress signal from a floating module. Cuddly Jenna teleported over with Blake, but then we couldn't get them back via teleport, so The Boss did the pilot thing and docked with their module. If The Boss can fly the ship, I guess we don't need Blake at all, and Jenna... well, there's always cuddles. Is that disrespectful? It's very respectful for a Teddy Bear, but I don't know about Humans. Most don't seem that interested in a cuddle. Blake, Vila, and the Boss (with me in a pocket) teleported down to see Major Saurian, but he wasn't there. Maybe I misunderstood, it's hard to hear when you're stuffed in a pocket after all... We met an Auronar named Cally. I think the Auronar must have descended from the old British Empire on Earth, cuz here she was on a stealth mission in a brown land with brown plants wearing a bright red outfit (Cally, not the plants). Anyway, we blew some stuff up and then teleported back to the ship. Turns out while we were gone some ugly mutants came out of the module and caused some inconvenience. Fortunately, Gan was there to,,, What??? From what they're saying it was Jenna who killed the bad guys. I guess I had better be very respectful to her in future when looking for a cuddle. Just getting ready. Tea, those choccie Pringle shaped things (not sure which flavour as yet!) and biccies. Watching High Chaparral (?) every day now...I'd forgotten just how good an actor Cameron Mitchell was...had me in tears this morning when his character (Buck) had to kill his old army pal because he was about to betray him...... And yesterday, a wandering Dentist called Doc Henry gave the impression he was about to go off with Mr Cannon's wife's jewellery...and Big John wanted to have a showdown with this Doctor...who after the Dentist actually saved Big John's life by shooting Kid Curry, rode off to a small place called Tombstone. As Buck passed him, they waved and said hello.."Do you know him?" asked Big John. "Sure" says Buck. "That's Doctor John Henry Holliday..." Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! I got original box sets I just pressed scene selection on Time squad, never done before, love the layout and Blake looking at the monitor I plan to live forever,or die trying.
