I will be thinking of B7Gary while watching this one. For some reason, Gary always disappeared from sight whenever the Muller android put in an appearance... The episode: Derek Six – Headhunter (Carry On, Don’t Your Lose Head) * The date: Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 The time: 7.45pm UK time * an actual Carry On film (and it featured Jacqueline Pearce!) A reminder of the Season Derek drinking game, with one special addition for this episode: Here’s the number of sips/swigs per each of these: Avon is knocked unconscious 1 A scientist dies (per scientist) 5 A member of the main cast wears the same costume as last week (per costume) 2 There’s the sequence (or part of the sequence) of Scorpio landing / taking off at Xenon Base 3 Vila drinks something red (per scene) 10 Tarrant falls in love 5 Soolin shoots someone (per person) 5 Slave says “sorry” (each mention) 1 Each mention of “Sleer” 2 Avon laughs manically and/or smiles inappropriately 5 There’s a downbeat ending in sharp contrast to the jangly end theme 10 The final shot of the episode includes Paul Darrow 3 A member of the main cast is killed or stunned (per cast member) 1 bottle of wine / 1 can of beer Muller’s android bellows: “WHERE IS ORRRRRRRRRRRAC!” (each mention) 3 Back to a really fun episode, which was also the inspiration to the Where’s Wally series of books. Also, Muller decides to build an android – he should have stuck to his yoghurt business, because he sets a new record in dying as a scientist. Episode in a word: Android. Character to cheer: Soolin really shines from this episode onwards. She’s terrific here, with her dry sense of episode, be it finding Vila hiding in a cupboard, or keeping Orac from the Muller android. Also fair play to Avon, who isn’t prepared to let Vila and Tarrant die. Character to boo: Orac for the opposite reason to Avon – the cold-hearted lump of plastic is quite willing to sacrifice Vila and Tarrant. Is Soolin looking lovely this week: Yes. Recognisable Face: Lynda Bellingham (Vena) is perhaps the most famous face ever to appear in Blake’s 7 – of course, she was the Oxo Mum! (she also appeared in Doctor Who, but that’s nowhere near as impressive). Best exchange: ORAC: “Join us, Soolin. We can fulfil your every desire.” SOOLIN: “You wouldn't know where to start.” Blake's 7 will return in “Carry On Killing Piri.” Vote Og.

Just getting ready. There is a bonfire party going on in someone's back garden, but I'd much rather be here in the warm. Anyway, this was my lovely daughter Sarah's fave episode. So I love it as well...and it is a good one. I agree with TT, I could never understand why our Gary (Keeper of the Costumes) always disappeared when ever the android was around. At Box Hill that time he couldn't be found... NOw to get me mug of Yorkshire tea sorted, biccies (not sure which ones yet) and those Salted Caramel choccie Pringle shaped things. I will at least have something to take my mind off the fact that someone tried to get into my Email account and that has been blocked...just as well as we were going to dump it anyway, but someone used the email to get into the national Lottery, take money out of my account and play some instant wins...don't worry, Norm spotted the money gping out and we stopped the evil person in the middle of their game...and our bank gave us the money back. So I now have now got to set up another email after all these years of the old one.... Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!!
