Rewatch Downunder Saturday 26th Ogtober D4 Stardrive
M1795537OCVirn
Starting at 8.30pm Downunder, 1030am UK.

D4 Stardrive
The one where the make-up people used up most of their budget for the series, transport commandeered all the (then state of the art) quad bikes for miles around and the caterers had to dig their vans out of quarry mud yet again.
I think it's meant to be a fun episode, despite what happens to Dr Plaxton. Dayna does something useful, Tarrant is a bit out of his depth (wrong hairstyle), Soolin does her best to stay clean and Avon gets what he came for.
No sign of Servalan - probably busy sorting out another new black dress. Presumably her previous designer, who only liked white, was one of the 26.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

I wish I could say it was fun, but I’m not so sure…….

Trying to be punk after punk was dead.

Jacs wanted black to match Avon's get-up.

And she was right.
Perhaps punk didn't make it to the outer Sectors of the Federertion until later?

Hi Tyce. Not bad. I had a scare yesterday when I thought I'd run out of money – all money – but a good thing is that I've finally got all the makings for a 'Shadow' necklace. I had to have some of the stones specially cut. Even got to see the quartz crystals they were cut from. The joys of the interwebs. Happily, I've not run out of dough...

How are you? How are you MsVirn?

How do you feel about starting? I mean, we're only five minutes late, but...

OMGosh, that’s awful. I’m glad in the end you realise you weren’t out of money.

A Shadow necklace sounds awesome. I can’t wait to see it.

I’m good, thank you

All good here in the UK. I have my #2 daughter staying this w/e - am enthusing to her about seraglio-designs.

Love the way Soolin hurriedly exits herm seat when Vila approaches her!

Glad you're well.

I was a lot better after checking my bank accounts. PayPal kept telling me I couldn't pay for a purchase due to no funds. It was lying.

Hello everyone. I've been watching for about 5 minutes, but my laptop took ages to start up. Glad to hear you haven't run out of money, Obsidian - and the stones for the necklace sound great.

This opening asteroid sequence is pretty damn good. It inspired a whole mission in my game Liberation.

It's great to see them doing something dangerous and rebel-like

Not one of Vila's best episodes - pretending to be drunk is a mean trick.

No, not really. I'm moving house tomorrow and not enjoying it at all! Ah well, almost done. How is everyone?

Hehe. Just listening to Vila relating the answer to everyone's woes.

You well AnneA? The stones are from the Liberator treasure room.

Morning, Anne. This is our last 10.30 start (approx) for a while. Not looking forward to having to get up an hour earlier for next week's rewatch. And my husband gets a 25 hour birthday tomorrow, and will no doubt claim he needs extra cake etc

The repair sequence isn't very well done - that would be a good candidate for new effects, perhaps. And why is Tarrant there, when he isn't really doing anything except standing there? Providing moral support?

Bloody PayPal, these things are great when they’re working fine but when they don’t, they can cause all sorts of problems.

I made the most of the lie-in this morning, knowing that it would be the last for a bit!

He's being blokey moral support.

But I like the Scorpio arrival on Xenon sequence.

8m: the gang suit up and go to repair damage to the hull.

I don't remember much about this episode other than the asteroid but I really like how "sci fi" it is so far. No quarries, no weird barbarian civilisations. Just spaceships and metal and spacesuits. I always liked that side of B7

At least Tarrant isn't causing probelems. He's better when he doesn't try to help.

Those entrance and exit sequences are really well done.
