Oh, I like 'em. I don't really see the purpose of the yellow thing but at least they don't look as if dressed by M&S.

13mins: One of the absolute strengths of B7 is the banter between unpleasant people who don't like each other. Few shows do it better and this episode is so far a great example. "Don't waste time, you have so little of it left!" "Time with you is always a waste".

And give the Right People (High Council, top Military etc - in fact, anyone who had the funds to purchase land -) nice places to live.

Of course. It's how you keep your society ordered, in good totalitarian fashion.

Oh yeah what is Vila wearing? It's so conceptual but it's not runway ready

I love it when Servie belts Travis. it's so housewifely. There are several occasions on which she's housewifely. It gives me a happy feeling.

17mins: Love that look of vulnerability Servalan gives when her old colleague (and now victim) says "I should have helped you". I'd never say Servalan is redeemable but there is like 1% "wounded animal" in there amongst the evil somewhere

I agree - the dialogue is definitely one of the things to watch for, and the conflicts between the characters are a refreshing change from other sci-fi shows.

There's a lot more to Servalan than most people know, or care to admit!!

22mins: For all the positives so far this episode is showcasing the biggest weakest of B7 to me... the criminal underuse and underwriting of Jenna and Cally. Cally in particular they never realised what GOLD they had with the character and actor. They're just sitting at the teleport.

I suspect, if she remembers, that it was just a fab piece of yellow stuff she got her hands on and thought she'd make something that looked a bit Outa Space. Spotted her in the jury on (yet another repeat of) Judge John Deed last week.

There are one or two episodes - like Horizon, last week - where they do really interesting things with her telepathy, and then they forget about it completely, even where it would have been useful.

Yes, a criminal waste. But Jenna does get a starring role later on in the ep., thank goodness.

I wonder if it would have been different if the telepath was a bloke?

Possibly, but not necessarily - look at what they did with Gan.

I just think with Cally is that she is a terrorist from a society of telepaths who are 100% pacifists due to their empathic abilities. It's just so crazy interesting to me and they do hardly anything with it!

Sadly, very little. It's one of the things on which most fans are agreed. Cally looks fab in her beautiful drapey dress, but was so much more impressive as the Lady in Red Jumpsuit and mega weapon.
