I get the impression Chris Boucher has been brewing this episode for a while - all that time with Terry N has rubbed off. Great writing and recognisably 'B7'-ish, more so than many of the other authors. A bit hard on Orac, though, maybe. Yes, he's right on point with all of them. But ORAC is still, at this stage, an unknown quantity, so this does seem to be a bit of a test of ORAC's potential and trustworthiness. As we see, ORAC is really only interested in its own survival. Not unlike some other characters, in fact. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

And we'd like to see Blake et al. revisit Bec.

I like that episode - complex and raises some interesting questions. I wish we'd seen a bit more of the moondisc. |

Not unlike some other characters, in fact. Also, with the Liberator and Orac, Blake & co ought to be invincible, even though they're none of them saints. Having Orac appear less trustworthy makes them more vulnerabe. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Poor old Bec - even if he did reform, get a new life, spend time in the gym etc. he's going to be waiting a long time to show off to Blake.

It shows in his writing. It's the difference between writing for adults and writing for children. Some episodes are really at the kiddie level. For him the running around waving guns bit is incidental to the real issues. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

OK, almost time to make lunch. So much more civilised with the later start time, here in the UK, although it does mean B7 takes up most of the morning. I'm off to order my T-shirt(s?) for S-L-C. Not long now! Bye, all. Hope the world treats you with respect, at least until next week. See you soon. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

See you all next week, I hope! |
