Cally's entrance is soooo good! And I like her camouflage suit.
Also her way of speaking, short and a bit crude (so much better than Avon's short and cynical speaking), a true warrior girl.
She was so promising in that beginning, I wish they kept her that way.

I think, instead of the "shipping", they had a mutual understanding which made them protective of each other. I think Cally sensed ( read Avon's mind if you like) that Avon, in his smartness, had more and deeper insight in her person and skills. And Cally sensed (or read) that Avon kept a good part of himself hidden behind his masked behaviour.
It would have made a great item for later episodes.
