The episode: Albert Three – Cygnus Alpha (Carry On SHOUTING) The date: Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which BRIAN BLESSED shouts a lot; Zen introduces himself; Gan gets a snog off Pamela Salem; and God is called Neil. Episode in a word: Religion. Character to cheer: Lord Vargas – I realise that technically he’s a baddie, but who cares? And it’s B7, so the lines between good and bad are blurred anyway. Character to boo: Blake, when he deceives Jenna and Avon. Not for the last time. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: Pamela Salem (Kara) has been in loads of stuff – Doctor Who, EastEnders and James Bond for starters. Best line: “GORDON’S ALIVE!” Whoops, wrong show. OK, lets’s go for: BLAKE: “Handgun?” AVON: “It's a bit elaborate for a toothpick.” Blake’s will return in… Carry On Homicidal Maniac Vote Og.

My other 'last chance for the London' post: There's a big console on the flight deck of the London, which was originally a laser cannon in the Roger Moore James Bond film, "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974). The panels on the back wall are from a 1960s computer called an ICT 1301. Panels for the ICT 1301 not only turn up on the London, but also appear in various Doctor Whos, a couple of James Bond movies, the Muppets, Doomwatch, and The Pink Pather Strikes Again. Great poster Rock the Casbah! Thanks OracVZen. It's meant to look like the sleeve of their 1979 single, which in turn was nodding to The Elvis Presley Album (1956).  I think their cover of "I Fought the Law (And the Law Won)" would make a great B7 fanvid. You might get this one this too:  |

watching this I always hearken back to Visions 95 con in Chicago, which had Gareth, Paul, and Brian on stage at the same time all weekend. And yes, it was a much fun as it sounds.
