But we never see the various possibilities of all those different cartridges again in the following episodes. Pity.

And here we are, the first bits of B7 I ever watched about 40 years ago.

I wonder how I would have felt watching this 1st? In those days it was difficult to catch up

I only saw series 3 and 4, then many years later, borrowed series 1 and 2 on video from Cambridge city library (I was catching up on series 1 of Babylon 5, which I had also missed, and the next B5 video was out, so I took the first B7 instead).

It fits the theme. The Federation is no longer what it once was, and neither are our heroes.

Very true!

Yet another one of those things that seem like a great idea and are only mentioned once.

Yes, Vila is being very intelligent in this episode. He saves the day with that gun and doesn't get thanked.

The backstory episode I want is how Soolin, who was presumably on GP avenging her parents, ended up with Dorian, and how a clever person like Soolin, never sussed his nefarious side.

I could not believe my eyes when I first saw Slave.
Could the electron microscope-with-adjusted-ball be a ship's computer?
(as a chemist, I worked with an electron microscope at that time and I thought it was a very sophisticated device. Slave added some more to that feeling, LOL!)

Vila agrees. A great wine is best sipped straight from the bottle, and when I say sipped, I mean gulped.

We should instigate a thank Vila day. Or include it in the drinking game. 1 gulp for everytime Vila should be thanked

Perhaps she did, and didn't care? I suspect that she's using him. But it was perhaps stupid of her not to think he would turn on her.

Avon: I think his taste in wine and women is impeccable.
I think the truth is that Avon thinks that Dorian's taste in computer experts is impeccable!
Which, by the way, scares him off!

I'll give the costume department proper thanks, Dorian's costume of burgundy and gold is amazing. Too bad, as far as I know, it did not survive and end up in B7Gary's collection, or any other's collection. Sigh.
