The irony here: Avon was Blake's biggest follower all along! It's clear now, and perhaps only for this episode, that while Avon was never a believer in Blake's cause, deep down, he really WANTED to believe. Yup. And will go to ridiculous lengths to reach him. At this point. By the final episode, his worldview is so much more cynical. The converse is also true. While there is no believer quite so ardent as a converted cynic, there is no cynic quite so cynical as a disillusioned idealist. You could also now be talking about Blake in Episode 52. Vote Og.

I'm having flash backs to the Return to Gauda Prime con in 2011 in Oxford and the re-enactment of this scene at the village hall. That was fun!!! I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

This could have been a suitable ending for the series but I am also glad we had series 4 as it was quite different and of course the ending was unforgettable.
