This is another fun episode - but I gather there are a lot of people who don't like it?

Servalan's in it - what's not to like?

I don't know. I've just come across mentions of it as self-evidently a bad episode, like Animals or Voice from the Past.

Nah. It's very tightly plotted and played. Everyone is now on edge. Denouement is evident in it's every pore. Maybe people are put off by the dress-ups.

Yes, I think it's the dress-ups they don't like.

Then "they" are shallow and influenced by superficialities so ignore them.

From her point of view, why not? Real grapes are probably something of a luxury in space. That cultured algae fruit just isn't the same.

Travis must have been a bt disappoiinted to know there was a royal brother as well.

Yes. He tries talking Servalan into coming on side with his "ambition", appealing to hers, but, apart from getting her ship, he shoots through when he gets no more. I think it's probably an either/or thing.

Especially when we see that, like the north of England, there is no rain on some planets and too much on others and, hence, no fruit. She could take up eating prickly pear.

That makes sense, but if he is allied with the Andromedans, surely that means that he knows where Star One is? Or did they get in touch with him somehow?

Have to agree. It would seem it hasn't occurred to her that Travis might have got fed up with being a fall guy for her and has decided to put an end to everything.

I'm sure she sees that he's fed up, but she wouldn't think he would go that far. But perhaps her presence here suggests that she suspects him of something.

Exactamente. She suspects because she knows that he has the info about Goth also, but she hasn't realised the lengths he might go to. The biting the hand that feeds. Dogs do it in the end if mistreated.

Didn't the Federation know about the Andromedans and erect the minefield to protect themselves from them?

We take the tent from the nomadic phase, then the rather anachronistic dungeon from the settled phase . . . It;s all good fun.
