If there is one thing guaranteed to take my mind off Travis's behind, it's Avon's nose. Yes, ok, I'm weird...Smile

I hope he's blown it.

Are you talking about Avon or Travis? Pfft

The Guard looks pathetic without his helmet!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Looking at the blue painted shelving units- they used them numerous times and I even spotted them in a Doctor Who ep. from the same time frame. I notice strange things like that.

Explosions are FUN. The fx guys get bored without them. I remember when our tekkie ( Andy - they're always called Andy) drilled holes in the actual stage of our village hall and stuffed them with things that went BANG later in the performance (it was a pantomime!). Nearly got us banned from the place.

When I was watching this on Saturday, it occurred to me that the decision to put Servalan in flowing white draperies might owe something to advance publicity for Star Wars, with Princess Leia in flowing white draperies. It got a rather cold reaction, but I'm not convinced that it's ridiculous. What do people think?

Brad
1978, quite a bold time to make the main antagonist female.

I thought of it as ironic costume design, put the darkest character in wholesome white. And it also works as an image of the Federation: pure on the outside, corrupt on the inside.

There is a scene in Project Avalon where whe walks along a line of troopers. For me, this echoes not Leia but Darth Vader boarding the rebel spaceship at the beginning of Star Wars, albeit with inverted colours.

I guess so, but remember this followed Survivors, where the first series (the only Terry was involved in) had two female leads out of three, and Abby Grant - the leader - was hardly whiter than white.
