9.30am (UK) / 8.30pm (Australia)

In which Cally rather proves Jenna's caveat about letting aliens on board, and Vila finally gets a new outfit - he's been wearing the same clothes since we first saw him in The Way Back Shock
There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Poor Vila. Why didn’t someone show him where the room ‘full of clothes’ was!

Hi, Aussies. Hope you're OK. I keep forgetting this is at 30 minutes past, not 45. I'll catch up shortly.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Obsidian
Sorry. Just trying to load and carrying on a conversation half English, half Arabic with Syrian friends in Turkey. Important stuff: high finance.

Hi Tyce. Are we it so far?

And yes, poor Vila. I'm trying to imagine the laundry on the Liberator.

Snooze time. Except for Cally!

Likewise. Someone's blow up some weather balloons and strewn them around.

We never see Blake's medallion again, do we? I laugh at his off-the-peg M&S trews.

Sounds like there could be so many clothes in the ‘room, full of clothes’ that they might not need to do washing.

Obsidian
Cally looks pleased with herself, even smug. Hmmm, now what could be the problem?

Hi all. Sorry I'm late. I must confess to rather liking this episode - partly because I find the decimas rather sweet, and partly because of the insight it gives us into the more unpleasant side of the Auronar.

You'd think. Maybe Vila was very fond of his original Earth outfit.

A fashion choice he decided to give up.

No doubt the laundry quickly became a job for Jenna and Cally.

Hi Anne Arthur

I don't think that it was a good idea to show us The Thing in the Tank at the start. It would have been much more effective just to have a mysterious voice.

Hi Anne. Cally's gone funny. She's propositioned Avon. "I'm interested in your work." What a line!

Is Cally influencing Avon telepathically here. He does seem to be uncharacteristically stupid.

Well yes. We all have a favourite outfit. Or perhaps it was just his connection to earth, and he thought perhaps it never see earth again.

She clobbered him with a rolled-up newspaper!

I love his little half-gluey/half-suspicious "Is she for real or what?" look.

I think so - look how angry he is with her afterwards.

Zen seems to become much less reluctant to help later. At this point it still seems to have some of the System's anti-intruder device functioning.

Geela and Novara are beautiful. I love their outfits and the whole silvery 'look' but imagine it was all horrible to wear: instant assistance in building cool characters.

That's what I think. Another power she seems to lose later.

“It’s slow, you should appreciate that problem.” I don’t insult!

The most endearing thing about Avon, IMO, is that he is a much better person than he thinks he is, or would like to be.

Very snarky but goes nowhere, which is partly the point.

It was the extra power she had from the Ultras

"This boy don't need a judge, he needs an analyst's care". One of my favourite lines from a favourite (since I was about 3) musical.

That's true of several - except perhaps Blake or Tarrant.
