Lovely David Collings. Must find the version of A Christmas Carol with him as Bob Cratchett and watch it tomorrow. He’s so lovely. I think TPTV has it. Oh, I can see him as Bob Cratchett. However old I was when it was released I thought he was the best. He has the right level of sensitivity. I think I was 12-13. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

ORAC over-riding Slave is where it all starts going wrong. If they had had more warning of the attack things might have gone better. Yep it’s all Orac’s fault ORac is a mean little thing. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I’ve never really understood the distress beacon thing.is it a Macguffin only? Initially it feels like Avon being uncharacteristically naive - but from what he says in the hut, it would seem that his idea is to lure in a flyer with a distress beacon, try to trick or overpower the pilot, and seize it. He seems to be using the hut as a decoy. |

He seems to be using the hut as a decoy. That seems the obvious conclusion so it is a Macguffin in that it moves the plot along and raises doubts about Avon’s intentions. It gets him a different gun. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Hey! Was checking out some lovely, B7-style aluminium baking trays in Coles supermarket today.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Tarrant has now moved into the lack of trust territory. Yup. Avon refusing to answer the question 'Where is Tarrant' seems very PTSD to me - trying to erase Tarrant's fate by refusing to talk about it. |

They are all very badly damaged despite what Blake says. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Now if Blake had listened to Klyn, they might have noticed the Federation troops arriving. So many little things, all adding up.

Is anyone else feeling supremely privileged to be watching these people? They are so very good , lifting the program way above the ordinary space opera.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Now if Blake had listened to Klyn, they might have noticed the Federation troops arriving. But he’s fixated on his own little concern. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I wish we had seen the actual conversation between her and Deva. |

But she seems like a young Servalan may have been at 16. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

That ending still packs a punch, no matter how many times I watch it. Thank you all for the rewatch. Have a great Christmas and New Year, and see you in the first week of January, when it's back to the beginning again. |

A definite SNAFU. Feel terribly hollow afterwards, or is it that I simply haven’t had enough red wine yet?

At this end the turkey is brining so we’re kind of under control for tomorrow. Any last minute shopping required at your end? Quiet time tomorrow for you Tyce? As a positive, I can tell you that Steven Pacey’s smile is still as fab as it was - dazzling. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

More last minute shopping than I had expected due to a) the GP and the pharmacist taking forever to process a repeat prescription (symptomatic of the collapse of the British health service, sadly, and a very very minor example), but all done in the end, and had a nice quiet Christmas. How about you? |
