The episode: Derek Twelve - Warlord (Carry On Radioactive Airborne Virus) The date: Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 The time: 7.45pm UK time A reminder of the Season Derek drinking game - no additions needed, since plenty of the below occur! Here’s the number of sips/swigs per each of these: Avon is knocked unconscious 1 A scientist dies/is already dead (per scientist) 5 A member of the main cast wears the same costume as last week (per costume) 2 There’s the sequence (or part of the sequence) of Scorpio landing / taking off at Xenon Base 3 Vila drinks something red (per scene) 10 Tarrant falls in love 5 Soolin shoots someone (per person) 5 Slave says “sorry” (each mention) 1 Each mention of “Sleer” 2 Avon laughs manically and/or smiles inappropriately 5 There’s a downbeat ending in sharp contrast to the jangly end theme 10 The final shot of the episode includes Paul Darrow 3 A member of the main cast is killed or stunned (per cast member) 1 bottle of wine / 1 can of beer In which the photocopier makes a return appearance, but this time around it is deadly and wipes out multiple scientists! Also, we see Servie for the last in the show (sob!), Soolin has to save Avon's backside (again!) and Tarrant falls in love (again!). And the threat of Pylene-50 being pumped into the atmosphere forces Avon to try to form an anti-Federation alliance. He doesn't want to become a zombie. If only he'd been pro-active and done that around the time of Harvest Of Kairos, when he still had Liberator and the Federation was on its knees! Episode in a word: Virus. Character to cheer: Soolin. She again proves she is quick witted, shows empathy to Zeeona and Tarrant, and is particularly deadly in this episode. Characters to boo: Vila is rather a sorry alcoholic in this one, although who can blame him after his ‘best friend’ tried to murder him in the previous episode. And Avon's smile at the end is truly chilling - did he know Zeeona was going to commit suicide? Is Soolin looking lovely this week: Yes. Recognisable Face: Bobbie Brown (Zeeona) was one of Ming’s serving girls in Flash Gordon – Dale Arden got her drunk. Best exchange: DAYNA: “It's going badly.” VILA: “Hardly surprising. Avon's idea of diplomacy is like breaking someone's leg then saying ‘Lean on me.’” Blake's 7 will return in “Carry On Dying.” Vote Og.

Just finished my online German lesson for today. It told me to say hello by saying Mein Luftkissenfahrzeug ist voll von Aalen Are you sure that is a nice greeting. It sounds threatening to me!! I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Blake's actions were a futile enterprise all-round, especially since they resulted in a number of otherwise avoidable deaths and a lot of suffering, not to mention the expense of fixing everything he broke, which meant everyone had to pay more tax..
