In which Avon proves he's not exactly the galaxy's best diplomat, Tarrant falls in love yet again, and we all want to know where Servalan had been hiding those explosives.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Obsidian
Avon isn't bad as a diplomat (speaking from vast experience). Loads and loads better than Max.

Where Servie hides things is a subject unfit for a child-friendly site such as this.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Hi Tyce and MsVirn. Super tired here but still standing (sitting). All well where you are?

Okey doke. What's happening with the Blake rewatch? Were any decisions made last week?

No decision. In fact, I don’t think the conversation went very far. Why do I have a feeling it’s just going to be you and I today?

Obsidian
Just starting now MsVirn. No power is no good. Everything alright otherwise?

"We are not alone..."

It might be us for the last ep. I can't do Xmas Day but might be able to do a night beforehand or after.

I think of this scene every time I see people an escalator. Scary.

M1795537OCVirn
HI, yes, OK here. We finally have a bit of snow - less than an inch - and it's due to be rained off later today. Right, better get started... if this episode ever does. Not one of the greats, IMO.

Hi everyone. Sorry I'm late. No snow here yet, although a thick frost which barely lifts during the day.

Shopping centres do it for me.

Blake....not sure I'll be free on Christmas Eve, but don't let that stop you.

Ah, a nice bit of late 60s–early 70s' architecture. The Monaro Mall in Canberra had those tiles.

Avon's diplomacy is actually very diplomatic. It's the way diplomacy has become these days that is not: it involves bribery and blackmail.

My problem is mother arrives on Tuesday. It’s a bit hard doing anything with her here. Although she does go to bed at 9pm. So I could probably watch the last 25 minutes with you.

Shouting at people is NOT diplomacy.

Never liked escalators, but at least they've moved on from the old wooden escalators which terrified me silly as a kid. Now, of course, I feel great nostalgia for them.Smile

I think this initial sequence is one of the most chilling parts of the whole series.

It is rather odd that Dorian never got around to giving either Scorpio or the base any weapons.

Hi AnneArthur. You should be here if you want snow, we had snow on mountains last week. Coldest summer ever on record. :-(

You'd think, but there's shouting and shouting, and the real thing is way better than the shmoozy, BS, forked-tongue that I came to recognise quite well.

I don't feel nostalgic for the ones that caught fire in King's Cross underground station.

Sorry to hear that. I think I'll stick with the frost.

Very Covid-secure Betafarlians.

Tarrant voicing a very medieval idea there - that the role of the women of the royal family is to intercede with the king.

I remember snow in December in Civic back in 1977. When I went out in the morning it was Summer and when I walked home to Braddon at about 5pm it was Winter. Better even than Melbourne.

My grandmother fell on escalator when they were first introduced in Tassie. She hurt herself quite badly, and wouldn’t have anything to do with them after that.

Sorry again - had to go and chat to the postman (he did bring me a couple of parcels, so it was probably worth it).
Beta whatsit affirms - and where did those trumpeteers come from?

Was that the horrific underground railway fire that killed multiple people?
