I like Soolin being the one deputed to tell Vila and Tarrant that they can't return to the base.

No Travistina I'm building ( or darn trying to) a life size one. Harder than I expected. I started to build the Liberator but not enough info.

I got a 'user's manual' for the Liberator from someone on this site - I'm afraid I can't remember who. But it would be very useful if you wanted to build one.

Ah, I see Travisina has better information about it!

Must get one sometime. The Supreme Commander still has them up on ebay, or at least did last time I looked.

She really comes into her own, doesn't she? Someone on FB at some time really challenged me about her, saying the character is useless and wooden, blah, blah, blah, but I like her sangfroid.

One thing I really love about this ep and which really lifts it, is the sullen Slave. Really good, and well -written.

Yes, I like that too. And ORAC is sounding more Ensor-like than he has for ages.

What is annoying me this time is the sound effects. Everything sounds a bit like stage thunder, which weems really inappropriate.

I think this was the first episode in which she really starts to shine. She gets some great lines, and delivers them beautifully. Not in the least wooden!

Yes. I like the slight emotional distance she keeps from the others - she is with the crew, but not of the crew.

People out the back banging some metal and rustling things – or the sound effects LP vinyl of such. Grin

Avon: "You have to do better than that, Orac, if you expect me to kill them."

But then, when Orac reports: "Vila weighs 73 kilos", Avon has nothing to say?

Why do the space suits have those silly little fins on the helmets?

I love the design of these survival suits. Too bad the helmets are completely open at the base and so let in the nasties. Grin

In Orbit, he saw a direct threat to his life. Here I think he believes in ORAC's warnings enough to be suspicious, but not enough to leave Vila and Tarrant to die.

Avon doesn't say anything the second time but his mind is racing to find a way out and he's obviously emotionally challenged.

I know, it kind of ruins the suspension of disbelief. A bit like the Space Patrol puppets whose helmets were open at the top to accommodate the strings!

One thing I like about this episode is that we really get to see Scorpio and the base. It's a pit the base didn't feature in the user's manual. I liked the plans of Scorpio, though.

Yes, how all the rooms relate to each other. Some idea of the layout comes in Warlord.

As a Vila fan, I find 'Orbit' VERY traumatic!

Traumatic, yes, if you're Vila, but Avon patently doesn't WANT hurt him.

Yes, you're right; she'd be the one to do it. Thankfully those plants are there, otherwise it would be acres of unrelieved grey.

I had boots like Soolin's only they were bronze – bought in one of the blackmarket towns in the mountains on the border of Syria and Lebanon. They have very distinctive folds in the leather.

Hello, sorry I'm late. Had a visitor who evidently didn't grasp the importance of B7 rewatches. Where are we? (Does it matter? Servalan's not in it).

I'm sure my electrical engineer father would have chuckled at Avon climbing that tower and clipping the wires. It's quite funny – plus him chucking the clippers in typical Avon fashion.

Hi, nice to see you! They are just planning to entice the robot out of the base so that they can put its head on.
