"The black woman must win." The only time Dayna is referred by colour in the whole of B7. Is the writer making a point about Pella and her true nature?

It's certainly very strange, given that she is the only woman there. But all the Seska and Hommiks are very white. Perhaps Pella has never seen a black person before?

You know, I've mulled this one over many times and have come to the conclusion that the 'black woman' is only a descriptive term. Of course, we're talking Ben Steed so he may be opening all sorts of cans of worms in this episode.

Why doesn't Pella use her powers on the Hommicks as they capture her??

Because it would spoil the story?

How would it be possible to spoil THIS story???

Hey, I like this story, leave it alone Wink

Meanwhile, just having a check on the spy camera in the shower room and it's all misted up Sad

Of course, this is why Avon smells like a man - Soolin was occupying the shower.

She has her showers so hot and steamy that it uses up all the hot water.

Where do they get their water. TT will you explain?

Soolin diverted it from the hydroelectric power plant for her shower. That's why the plant was no longer working in Headhunter.

So if the Power Plant isnt working now, the water can't be hot!!!

Maybe she used all the water from one power plant and the electricty from another - ?
Seems that it really was a very intense shower...

You've got a good brain, Avon...

Less so after three nasty blows to said brain.

Is Gunn Sar playing Trimula with apples?

I don't even know what this means

Trimula was a boardgame from the 70s, some sort of 3-D nine men morris. Although it might have been marketed under a different name in the UK.

Wouldn't matter if it had a different name. I only play snakes and ladders...

Although this is the most subservice of the Ben Steed episodes by far. Even Sue Perryman noticed that and she hated his other two episodes.

In the next episode, Traitor, Dayna wonders if she will fit in on Helotrix, and is told that she 'old stock equalization act' was in force when it was settled. I have a theory that, while the Federation is not openly racist, the regime that preceeded it was, but that the non-white citizens were ethnically cleansed - which explains why two out of the five planets Avon tries to ally with in Warlord have black leaders. A few have come back (Hal Mellanby, Gingka) but not many.

Avon teleports without a bracelet... I assume between episodes he modifies so there''s a crystal in each bracelet, allowing a teleport that allows more than teleportation from the base.

I was just thinking that. Yes, a bit of crystal in the bracelets, that would work.

It works from the base because the crystal is there. By the next episode, we have a teleport that works from anywhere. Avon must have placed the crystal within the bracelets.

By the quality and type of his writing you'd think Ben Steed was a caveman pounding his chest to impress the girls. Or worse.
