Rewatch Downunder Saturday 26th September C13 Terminal

I still like how his hair looks blown up by the wind.

You can't always have what you want. Good thought.

Avon goes to all this effort to find - & rescue - Blake, Blake's last line was originally "Avon, you were my only friend", and yet some people don't believe there was any friendship between them.

It is Avon's fault. He tries to be cold and rational. Some believe him to be like that.

If Avon trusted them, it could have happened otherwise.

Yes, it's crazy he's going into an unknown situation with no help or back up, and even programming Zen to fly the Liberator away. It's almost like a kidnapper saying to the family, "Bring the money and don't tell anyone or else."

Avon can't afford to trust them, because if this is a trap (as he suspects) he will have led them into danger, possibly even get them killed. They would never let him go down alone (as is later proved) He's doing his best (despite being rubbish at people skills) to keep them safely out of it all.

I would like to see Avon's reaction when he spots Tarrant and Tarrant ducks. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.

But Avon doesn't trust people.

The likeneess of Avon is really good. I still have my magic 8-ball, and it's definitely gone hazy.

Oh, I know -- we get his "run, and keep running!" comment later -- but at least if the crew were clued in they could make a plan together.

Well, he should have understood all this. If they knew about this situation, they could have found some other solution.

I've been working on things for Advent, but I'm cheating...

Why didn't Zen understand what was going on.

Hello everyone. Sorry - late as usual. Hope you are all well.

Spoiler alert! Excellent news, though.

Hello!

Joe Dredd
The directional indicator ball has the same stilted mechanical voice all the other talking computers in B7 have, with the exception of the superior ones (Orac, Zen, Slave).. and Gambit, which (annoyingly) wrecks all the earlier continuity.

Joe Dredd
I like Vila's outfit in this.

But he is also doing exactly what he used to attack Blake for doing (in Trial, for example). He is becoming Blake.

Yes, Avon isn't so immune as he thinks. He follows his lead.

Avon's too self-centred for that. Blake was cause-centred.

How did those two survive all that time?

The Federation could use that space fungus as a weapon.

The directional indicator is a richtingaanwijzer in Dutch.

Thanks AA (and Hello! I hope you're well). It's what I always think of when I see his hair blowing around when he arrives on Terminal. There's probably a joke in there about Avon ladies wanting to cuddle up with a Teddy but we'll keep away from that.

You can always tell if it's Dutch because they throw so many extra vowels into everything.

Speaking of words I can't say, I wonder if Peter Tuddenham had to make up gibberish to say when Zen's translator units failed, or if they did something technical, like reverse a recording and chop bits out of it.

They chuck in extra consonants, as well.
