Quick! Hide the pic-a-nic baskerts! (And "Start at the knees, please!")

If I had known how much the last episode makes you reminisce about a childhood hero, I'd have planned more than a short cameo for him! Unfortunately, it was only a one-shot with no further consequences. Again, it's 'and now for something completely different'.

Hugbot, do you know of the game often played at county fairs, where they pen up a cow on a large bingo card and wait for it to poo? It's called cow-patty bingo and if you are lucky enough for Bossie to poo on your number, you win a prize. It's a big deal in the boondocks of the Midwest where I live. Sad, I know, but also look at it this way, if you win, you could take your 'winnings' home and fertilize your garden! I'm a gardener, I think that way! <lol>

Yikes!
Somehow, this reminds me of a cartoon by Uli Stein where a bunch of cats play a version of roulette with numbered mouse traps around a mouse hole and a green felt cloth where they bet money on the numbes...

The game I saw in the shop was this one: https://www.laurenceking.com/products.../poo-bingo
(It's only called Poo Bingo in the original, but the German title would actually mean "Animal Poo Bingo".)

I am laughing way too hard at the various versions of poo bingo. I hadn't heard of the cow-patty one (and I lived in Wisconsin as a kid).

I'm surprised, being a fellow Midwesterner at heart, like us. And in Wisconsin, the 'Dairy State'- it's full of cows. Ellen, you haven't lived! <lol>

I think my cartoon counterpart needs to lighten up - poo bingo sounds like a lot of fun!

Pirate shirt? Looks more like a bat shirt to me. Which would make Blake bat shirt crazy.

As it was episode 1066, maybe we should have travelled back to Anglo-Saxon times and I could have accidentally poked poor Harold in the eye with my helmet rather than this invisible purple chap Grin Grin

That must make both predation and propagation very difficult. I'm reminded of the old "How did the <Purple> find the <Purple> in the dark?" question.

I'm surprised the predator looks so strong. Clearly it has adapted to eating passing visitors and other non-purple interlopers. (And bears?) ("No more - I'm stuffed!") Our hero could be in big trouble! One more picked-bare skull in a cave of skulls.

Perhaps it will regrow. He doesn't look the same without his spike!!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Thank you for your sympathetic reaction to my alter ego's plight!
I think I'll have to head back to the ship, pry off the hat and get a new one.

Today's episode was inspired by a typo in a comment a few days ago that made it (nearly) look like a Danish word that is also known in English (I once saw it on the website of pub in London). And shortly after that, I learned that we actually do have a Danish member!
