UK Rewatch - A12 Deliverance (Tuesday, March 17th)
trevor travis
The episode: Albert Twelve – Deliverance (Carry On Lord Avon)
The date: Tuesday, March 17th, 2026
The time: 7.45pm UK time

In which the local Rent-A-Tribe appear, thus starting a proud tradition of hairy tribesmen in B7; Avon is too busy playing rockets to save Jenna; Travis finds out just how ruthless his boss is; and poor mad Meegat is left alone at the end of the episode after her ‘Lord’ leaves her on the planet.

Episode in a word: God.
Character to cheer: Travis, who shows a different side to his character, when it comes to Maryatt.
Characters to boo: The boys, for totally failing to notice that Jenna hadn’t teleported up, until Cally points it out to them. Maybe because she had experience of being left behind six episodes ago. Honestly, what are they like?
Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes.
Recognisable Face: Tony Caunter (Ensor The Younger) was Roy Evans in EastEnders, where he married Pat and her earrings, but died from a heart attack.
Best exchange: MEEGAT: “All things are known to you [Avon]. You are truly Lord.” VILA: “Counting yourself, that makes two people who think you're wonderful.”

Blake's 7 will return in... Carry On By The Seaside
Vote Og.

Finally the dispute over who is the most ruthless is resolved - Servalan is on top, Travis is only second. It was his mistake to show some compassion for the man who saved his life, and to his family. One might think such ruthlessness in a woman is too exaggerated even by sci-fi standards, if today’s women leaders haven’t made it pale by comparison. Unluckily, it also ends any resemblance between them and Servalan.

Avon is provoked into revealing his most intimate dream - to be a Lord, which has come true to some extent.

While Avon is busy with his Lord’s duties, and Villa with sobering him by brilliant irony, Gan proves to be the most grown-up of the three - luckily for Jenna, he reminds them why they have come.

For horror fans: Some creepy-looking cannibals living in tents, and Jenna nearly ends up as lunch. Shiver in fear, girls - if Jenna was taken for a meal instead of a wife so are you. Which is scarier - you will tell.

It’s 19:45 Earth Standard Time, and here is the news from Earth Dome One. I am your in-studio reporter, Lee R. Pantsonfire.

Our top story tonight, Space Surgeon Maryatt has deserted his post. According to reports from Supreme Command Headquarters, Maryatt has deserted and his current whereabouts are unknown.

In other news, though unable to match the speed of Blake’s spacecraft, pursuit ships tracked the Federation’s most wanted to a remote planet inhabited by the road cast of Quest for Fire, and a sad, deranged woman locked all alone inside an underground bunker, delirious to the point of believing she had many imaginary colleagues with her, mumbling incessantly about how the Lord Of Avon would protect her. Scholars from the TT Institute For The Study Of Illogical Phenomena said they cannot explain even later what a river in old calendar England has to do with her plight.

These pursuit ships also tracked the launch of a presumably hostile missile from said, unnamed planet, and though a preliminary scan showed no explosives aboard, took the precaution of destroying said missile. Hopefully there was nothing important inside.

The planet was host to unusually high doses of radiation. Fortunately, Federation ships always carry an array of decontaminant drugs, as should all deep space exploration ships whose commanders aren’t complete fools.

Meanwhile Federation Scientists from the TT Institute For The Study Of Illogical Phenomena, have stated they will also explain how the local tribes folk survived the radiation, though at a later date.

Stay tuned for our 20:00 movie, ‘One Million Years BC.’

Lorna, we'll miss you.

PS If a guy called Harrison Chase wants to join Garden Club, just say no.

Poor guys. Go on holiday to Cephlon, lose their razors at space customs and everyone assumes they are cannibals.

The poor guys may not be cannibals by nature, but by necessity.

Is the B7 universe so small, or is it so finely tuned by intelligent design that they are again in the right place at the right moment?

You read my mind. Yes, of course she is. Women can appreciate other women, especially when they are Servalan.

It's the Star Trek TOS trope. Something has happened and Enterprise is the only ship in the sector....

Well, I guess if he does, bang goes the sub plot.

To be correct, it's not satin she's wearing, it is high quality velvet. A French designer's wedding dress.
