The episode: Albert Three – Cygnus Alpha (Carry On SHOUTING) The date: Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which BRIAN BLESSED shouts a lot; Zen introduces himself; Gan gets a snog off Pamela Salem; and God is called Neil. Episode in a word: Religion. Character to cheer: Lord Vargas – I realise that technically he’s a baddie, but who cares? And it’s B7, so the lines between good and bad are blurred anyway. Character to boo: Blake, when he deceives Jenna and Avon. Not for the last time. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: Pamela Salem (Kara) has been in loads of stuff – Doctor Who, EastEnders and James Bond for starters. Best line: “GORDON’S ALIVE!” Whoops, wrong show. OK, lets’s go for: BLAKE: “Handgun?” AVON: “It's a bit elaborate for a toothpick.” Blake’s will return in… Carry On Homicidal Maniac Vote Og.

From the Electronic Journal of 'Roj' Bear Here we are on this fancy ship we just stole (the Boss says, ‘Salvaged’). It’s just the Boss, my namesake with the curly hair, and the cuddly pilot lady, I think her name is Jenna. The Boss figured out how to get guns, and the pretty pilot lady made the ship go so fast our faces hurt. I wonder if she’ll ever do that again??? Cuddly Jenna also connected with the ship’s computer (Hey, that’s the Boss’ job!). She named the ship “LIberator.” I’m sure the Boss would have named it something better, like “Roj Bear.” So, we arrived at Cygnus Alpha. Listening to them talk about it, I hope we never go to Cygnus Beta. The Boss figured out the “Teleport” and got rid of my namesake. Now it’s just me, the Boss, and Jenna (the pretty pilot). She found some nice clothes. She also found the vault of shiny things, and told the Boss about it. I hope she and the Boss have a future together, then maybe he’ll stop mumbling about 'what’s her name' in his sleep. Don’t know what he saw in her, she wasn’t that cuddly. Well, no more about her, at least for a couple of years….. The Boss tried to get Jenna to ‘take the money and run,’ but she wouldn’t leave my namesake. Shame, really. Eventually my namesake Roj - Not Bear, came back with some new friends, none of whom were particularly cuddly, except for Gan. I think he might be a giant Teddy Bear. Apparently they had quite the adventure, but as I was here on the ship with the Boss, and Jenna, I know nothing about that. A very shouty man also came back, but they got rid of him. They say in space, no one can hear you scream, but I can still hear his voice ringing in my cloth ears. ‘I shall return, a Nod!’ or something like that. TTFN, Roj Bear. I have been doing a sort out and found where I had stored my earplugs. I threw some away but I had several sealed in the original packaging. So they should be ok to use!!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Too loud? Maybe watch it from the next room? This isn't one of my favourite episodes, for one big reason and several smaller ones. But there's only a couple more episodes to sit through before the first is solved, so here's one of the others. Why haven't any of the other detainees ever worked out that the plague is all a scam? Just because they were stupid enough to get caught doing something criminal doesn't mean they're unintelligent. I'm sure there were some that either lost or forgot to take their extra strong mints for a day or two, and felt none the worse for it. Anyway, evenin' all, hope all is well with you. OK here, apart from knowing I have an appointment with the dentist tomorrow. Could do with some support here, folks. "You're not sulking, I hope?"
