Rewatch Downunder Saturday 3rd August, C5 Harvest of Kairos
M1795537OCVirn
Start time: 7.30pm (AEST) or UK 10.30am (BST) and Tyce 11.30am (CEST)

C5 Harvest of Kairos.
Definitely a 'fun' episode, with a lot of 'camping it up' from at least two of the principals. Not to mention the spider.
Crystals seem to be vitally important in SF and there are plenty of them in B7, especially here. Strange that we're not often told what they are actually used for.
On the other hand, there's Avon's pet rock. And a lunar lander.
In a nutshell: Servalan visits the Liberator, Dayna has a fight and Vila throws away a fortune. You couldn't make this stuff up!

NOOOoooo, I have a stupid thing tonight with stupid friends at a stupid restaurant.

This is one of the most memorable episodes! It's so 1980. And just an amazing Servalan episode and guest appearance by Andrew Burt as the unorthodox Jarvik!

LOL

P.S. I’m frightened of spiders. Can I watch the episode with my eyes closed?

Fine thanks, Lovely weather here - not too hot, just sunny and nice. How's your winter going?

Slowly. I wish it was gone already. Too cold - below zero (overnight).

Hi MsVirn. Hi Tyce! All well with youse?

You know I love Avon's pet rock (they were a thing then). Apparently, the person in the spider costume had his legs in the front and arms in the back. How does that make sense?
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I was just wondering about that. Does whoever it was get credited?

Still in a splint. Several weeks to go. Very annoying. The splint gets in the way. But I'd rather the healed than not.

Andrew Burt has since played such staid sorts of roles, except in a Poirot, I think, where he's the baddie.

She's still lacking a henchman. Jarvik becomes her latest auditionee.

The vertical stripes don't do a lot for Tarrant, though.

Tarrant evidently made some interesting contacts while he was swash-buckling around the universe.

“As a man, Tarrant is worthy of honour.” This episode would not have worked well if Jenna was still flying the Liberator. LOL

Ben Steed was trying to say things about human beings in this episode. I don't remember ever getting worked up about it being sexist. That's very much a latter-day interpretation. After all, the manly man loses and the smart guy wins.
