Rewatch Downunder, Saturday 3rd June B11, Voice from the Past
M1795537OCVirn
That's 7.30pm Downunder and 10.30a
m in the UK.

AKA 'Blake and the nasty migraine'. In which Travis manages to survive, despite his costume, while Servalan's cunning plan rids the Federation of a looming rebel threat.

I’m here, in fact, I’m here twice over! Here for the rewatch (sort of) and here in the UK. Or should I say I’m ‘there’ considering this is the Aussie rewatch. I’m confused…..

Anyway I thought I’d pop in and say hi. I hope everyone is well.

I’m currently in Brighton. I’ve been having an absolute ball. I met up with Travisina recently and we had a fabulous day out.

All things going well. I will be at the Brit Sci Fi event in Leicester on the 18th (to meet Sally Knvette and Jan Chapell) and maybe even late on the 17th. If any of you just happen to be coming please PM me.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to stick around for the rewatch or how long I can stick around for (and I don’t even have a TV to re-watch on) but I thought I’d say hi.

Hi, Tyce! Nice to hear from you. Glad you're having a great trip. Thought I was going to be late today but then I remembered this is the Aussies we're talking about.

Hi Tyce! Glad to hear you're having a great time. How marvellous that you're going to the sci-fi event. I hope the sun is shining and not as hot as last year. Enjoy every minute! I'm having a great time here plotting for Tyce-Con II.

Yes, started. Blazing sunshine again (still) here. Kittens now definitely mobile and today I'm starting them on solids. How's Fergus after your altercation?

Started...

Watched this last night because I was trying to track down a particular drinking glass. Blake is not just in pain, he is one.

Poor frazzled boy. He lay on the bed (electric blanket on to begin with) for hours grizzling and growling. He really is quite disturbed, poor lad. We'll try again soon. My face now has 4 prong marks in it.

By the end of this episode, Servalan has adopted the 'beamed messages' idea and inow knows exactly what she's going to do on Terminal.

Morning all! Nice to hear from you Tyce. Glad you're enjoying Brighton. I have one ear open for the postman. He called yesterday to deliver a parcel he should have delivered the day before, when I was out, then called back later with a second parcel. It will be redelivered today. Why he couldn't have delivered them both together, I don't know.

M1795537OCVirn
OOOh that's a bit of a dig at Jenna's Blake 'shipping.

Admit to peering at the fabric to work out exactly what it is. It's a bit nubbly.

I would have thought that 'just trust me' was a method Blake had used on several occasions.

HI, Anne! Postmen are a law unto themselves. Probably can't do two at once due to Union rules.

The asymetric buttons at the collar would become very fashionable in a few years time.

Hi AnneA!

Here, it would involve two different Indian guys in two different vans. We get used to it. Then there's the phantom deliverer who must live nearby because sometimes thing turn up at 8;30 at night. They're usually placed dead centre at the top of the steps. Smile

Nah, couldn’t do that, too much like commonsense.

Mmmm. Just going through some of my early-80s UK knitting/fashion magazines in recent days. They're still so funky.

At one point she even admits that Blake brought Avon to her. She meant more than simply playing on Avon's need to have Blake back.

Except that the first guy wasn't Indian (don't know about the one I didn't see), I think this is probably what happened. Guy 1 was the redelivery guy, guy 2 the regular postman. Or perhaps he had redeliveries and normal deliveries in his van, and was told to do the redeliveries first.

Are you making snide comments about how slack the Aussies are?? If so, that would be a fair comment. LOL

Not so much slack, as differently orientated about 'rules'.

Our blokes are good, really, but there's no telling who'll turn up. Then there's the electro, whispering death machine which is the real postman.

2nd thoughts I'm glad I can’t stick around long. We would have an argument about Blake. It’s not his fault he’s been brainwashed by a signal.

But he does it with such a lovely speaking voice. It's not all bad.

The thing is, they miss out on their R&R with Beta-particles.
