RIP Sheelagh Wells
Joe Dredd
Sadly, Sheelagh Wells, B7 make-up artist and former partner of Gareth Thomas, and more latterly Joe Nazzaro, passed away on 20th October 2024, according to this article on Warpaint, the web journal for Make-Up Artists. It's also noted on IMDb.

Very sad to hear this news, but also not to have been able to pay tribute at the time.

Sheelagh, along with Joe, also made the brilliant "Together Again" B7 interview tapes possible, and the wonderful "Inside Story" book.

A 2015 interview with Sheelagh can be heard here at Costume Station Zero. B7 gets a short mention just after the 18 minute mark.

RIP Sheelagh Wells, and thanks.

it was a shock to hear of her passing. We were friendly with her after meeting her at a few cons back in the 90's. She is missed!

The "Inside Story" book is a real labour of love. Sheelagh and Joe's enthusiasm for the programme really shines throughout every page. One of my favourite pieces of B7 Merchandise for sure. RIP.

I met Sheelagh at Who's 7 and remember her as a lovely lady with a big smile, who laughed at Gareth's teasing about her not knowing the proper way to spell 'Shiela'. Sad to hear she's no longer with us.

Aw, that's sad. She was at a couple of cons I attended in the 1990s and seemed a very nice lady. RIP Sheelagh.
Vote Og.

Sad news indeed. I never had the chance to meet Sheelagh Wells, but long long ago I learned how to make "blisters", or how to attach an eye patch to a face, or how to create the special effect with spaghetti, macaroni and other stuff. The guy who instructed "special effects" was a regular participant in Sheelagh's Make Up colleges.
Thank you for sharing your excellent knowledge Sheelagh Wells, RIP

I have that book and I agree with you!
*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

Very sad news!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Gee, that's a real shock JD! An Joe was putting up all that stuff on FB before his book came out last year. Together they made the behind-the-scenes live for those of us who had no opportunity to attend cons. How very sad.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

For me too.

Very sad news.

Sad news but memory of yet another who was a part of Gareth Thomas' life. RIP. I did read that at one point they were quite the happy couple.
Now look, I've tangled with just about every ugly in the book since I got involved with you lot, but I draw the line at Space Rats. Well, they have no respect for life. They're based on an ancient Earth sect of unbelievable viciousness.
