The episode: Colin Four – Dawn Of The Gods (Carry On Going Baldly) The date: Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which Orac does something really, really, really stupid; Avon does something a bit stupid; the Lord Thaaaaaaaaaaaarn does something very stupid; and Dawn doesn't do anything stupid at all, because she's not in this episode, despite it being named after her. Get out your Space Monopoly sets and your graphite writing sticks and join in with this rewatch of this undervalued gem. Meanwhile, those of a nervous disposition are warned of just how scary the Slave Chasing Machine is. To quote the Cat, we may wish to go up to brown alert (obligatory Red Dwarf reference already taken care of.) Episode in a word: Pencil. Characters to cheer: Tarrant for his clever Bald Dwarf wordplay to stop the Caliph knowing the full nature of Orac, and Cally tricking the Lord Thaaaaaaaaaaaarn at the end. Characters to boo: Orac is a prize idiot for wanting to take a closer look at a ‘fascinating’ black hole – he’d be reduced to atoms as well. And Avon, how was a spacesuit going to insulate you from a black hole? Go and sit in the thickie corner with Orac. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: Terry Scully (Groff) was Vic Thatcher in the wonderful opening season of “Survivors”, who was initially left for dead in shocking style after a lie from Anne Tranter. Vic later re-appeared, confined to a wheelchair. He also played the devious Fewsham in the Doctor Who serial “The Seeds Of Death”. A very talented actor. Best line: It has to be Vila’s “I'm in hell - and it's full of Avons”, although also deserving of a mention is: “So, the Lord Thaarn escaped. I suspect we have made another enemy. A pity.” Blake's 7 will return in… Carry On Captain Shad Vote Og.

From The Electronic Journal of Roj Bear (Avon’s Teddy, if you’re new to these) I don’t understand The Boss and his Friends, er, associates, er, people he is stuck on Liberator with…. They’ve been battling Servalan, who wants to own the entire galaxy, and how do they relax, by playing a game where the winner gets to own the entire galaxy….. So preoccupied were they that they let Orac steer us towards a black hole. Maybe I shouldn’t blame Orac. Even Zen couldn’t see the black hole. The thing about space, your basic space color… well, you get the idea…. Anyway, I’m hoping TT will explain later how we wound up in sector 12 when we were on our way to Auron. Cally passed out and started hearing voices, talking about the Thaarn in her coma. Hope she’s okay as she is the only one that can tell The Boss, ‘No,’ and make him listen…. Sometimes. Vila went out to repair something… TT, please explain later what part of Liberator that was with square features and some sort of landing gear…. We all get captured by the Mad Hatter, or possibly Sebastian, never did find out where the Vorlon’s sent him after Babylon 5. And to prove how totally evil the Tharrn is, he gives us neverending math homework. Fortunately Orac and Zen come to our rescue, which means Orac will be even more insufferable. And the Liberator’s defense mechanism made its first appearance since my second letter. (TT Please explain where it was when Tarrant and Klegg came on board), and Cally got to shoot a childhood legend, who apparently fancied her. And so, Cally proved Tarrant right, a bald dwarf really wasn’t that hard to find. Alas, Groff couldn’t come with us. He sacrificed himself pulling the We Belong Dead Switch* I mean, the self destruct switch. TTFN, Roj Bear *vague reference to the end of Bride of Frankenstein, which would make a good rewatch if anyone ever makes a forum thread for silly old movies.. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

I can only find Parts1,3 and 5 on Daily Motion. Any suggestions on where else I can find it. My DVD player is no-where near my computer. I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

I don’t know if I’m joining you tonight’s, neighbours banging, running up n down,screaming,slamming doors etc so couldn’t sleep 5mintgs now council useless and went to dentist to look at missing filling,need the tooth out , it shattered half below gum line,so now need surgery wisdom to the bone and 2 roots, in some pain

Hi OVZ. I've also got to get the courage up to see the dentist. The one that I've seen for the last 30 years has moved on and I don't know what the new one is like. A small part of my tooth chipped off over the weekend and I'm just hoping it will be all right until my next appointment in Oct. If not, I'll just have to get me nerve up and see the new chappie. Anyway, the environmental officer should be able to sort these guys out...if not, you may have to consider moving. Me?
