Kayn hasn't actually examined Gan when he calls him a psychopath. I think he's just going on what the Federation have said about the sort of people they give limiters to - and they might well have just been rounding up the usual suspects. He attacked and killed a Federation guard unarmed, ergo he must be a psychopath. |

Your threats don't bother me in the slightest....what - my HANDS?? Blake's sheer nastiness stands out compared to Cally's compassion. He knows when to be ruthless. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Avon's saving grace is that he is consistently a better man than he would like to think he is. |

Pilot's already left the building. Now he'll never know how the station was destroyed.

After all, presumably a neurosurgeon had to insert the limiter in the first place. I'm not for assuming all these people were unjustly accused of their crimes, even if it is part of Federation practice to get rid of annoyances. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Avon's saving grace is that he is consistently a better man than he would like to think he is. It's the being consistent that counts. You never know where you are with Blake, except that his Cause matters more than anything else, including himself. He's a dangerous person to be around. Whereas if Avon was going to kill you, he'd say so. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

I'm just looking for a loophole, really - I don't like the 'Gan as psychopath' story, probably just because I rather like Gan and would like him to be the gentle giant he presents as - and I'm playing around with alternative possibilities. |

Whereas if Avon was going to kill you, he'd say so. Agreed. Also, going back to Avon decking Sara on the Destiny ship and saying that he rather enjoyed it, just the other day, watching Foyle's War for the billionth time, DCS Foyle says exactly the same thing after he decks a crim. People see one as good and the other as bad. Why? What's the difference? Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Pilot's already left the building. Now he'll never know how the station was destroyed. Well, I did let it slip. And now he's found it up on YouTube again... We know that won't last though. He does a good job of commenting without actually watching. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I think he would really like to think of himself as cold, ruthless and entirely self-interested - but he isn't. If we go right back to when they first arrive on the Liberator he's actually quite timid when they try out the controls and does the displacement behaviour laugh. The supposedly cold, ruthless character is entirely protective. A carapace to protect his more delicate innards. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

That's the sort of character we were talking about earlier where he could have been quite a useful weapon, but probably too unpredictable. There is actually a term for it: Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Anyway, when do the clocks go forward/back? Are we on for the same time next week? No idea. The USA change this weekend. I'm expecting the Aussies to follow next week ( or perhaps the one after) with us usually the last weekend of March. Or something like that. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Intermittent Explosive Disorder sounds painful. Wouldn't one's first episode be terminal?

I looked it up. UK Summer Time starts 31st March (isn't that Easter as well?), I think the Aussies wait until 7th April. Please can someone confirm that before we all get too confused?

Anyway, after all that with Gan, he should have been given a more "I'm fixed" active role.

Presumably, but way too far in the future to be of concern right now. All I can see at present is the end of this week and what needs to be done beforehand. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I think one of the fun things about Blakes 7 is that all sorts of things are teased, hinted at, never mentioned again - from the Blake clone downwards. It leaves plenty of room for the viewer's imagination! |
