Travis talks about his supporters...well, some are mutoids, so they don't really count, since they don't have a choice. Some are troopers, presumably, who have sworn an oath to serve the Federation, so again, they don't count as 'supporters'. Soldiers could just as well be people who needed a job. Or were conscripted. Many of his fellow-officers don't like him. That leaves the general public - and I haven't yet seen anyone who admits to being a Travis supporter. So - who are they? Another bit from the Production Diary book- they took the 'hugbot' robot and because Vere Lorrimer was so disappointed in the look of it, he had the lower arm sections taken off so it wouldn't flop around and only used it sparingly because it was so laughable.
