I like City just for Valentine Dyall apart from anything else. Not a huge Vila fan, but I like it for giving him the chance to be the hero - and very convincingly too. He needed it, I think. Not the least of its attractions is that, while he saves a civilisation, defeats a villain, gets a girl, gets the parts the Liberator needs, impresses Avon and gets an apology from Tarrant, he's still not happy!
