I'm glad we got Servalan back. Blakes 7 wouldn't be Blakes 7 without her. A starring role. They couldn't have done it without her. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Hi all, Sorry to have missed this ep and your company again! As M...Virn explained, I had my flu+Covid jabs on Tuesday, and had quite a rough reaction. I don't *think* it was the Covid jab (new m-RNA variant, not an actual virus) - got a sore arm (still a bit sore, TBH) and that was about it - same as last time. My guess it was the flu jab, because that would have been actual (albeit deactivated) virus, and my symptoms were definitely flu-like - fever, shivers, fatigue, loss of appetite, generally feeling rotten. It may have been exacerbated by having the covid jab at the same time, but I didn't really question that, because there are plenty of other vaccines given simultaneously, eg the MMR. And before I went to Egypt I had 4 in one go at the travel clinic - one in each arm, one in my bum and one on a lump of sugar! That was fun. So anyway, thanks for your kind wishes. I'm feeling a lot better today, though still taking it easy. Other replies on this thread to follow... There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Just trying to re call this episode? Darn I'm way,way too early yet again. Trust me to be early. I tried to get onto other members here took the liberty of inviting them to join in but no takers, think they may have other plans. Hope all are well, Tyce are you ok with the N.S.W. floods? Saw the floods on the news, most of Victoria is suffering severe floods & over 1200 homes & businesses are affected as well as live stock. Here where I live we've only had medium rain fall no where near as our interstate counterparts. See you all soon.... I'll be back! Well apart from the ABBA festival being cancelled because Trundle is under water, I’m good. In fact it actually sunny here in Canberra. Glad you're okay, Tyce. Shame about the ABBA festival, though. Sorry I'm late. Testing negative for covid for some days now - hooray! And I've got a working fridge, shower and washing machine now. I just need to get a plumber to fix my leaky tap - which is proving harder than you would think. They all seem to be booked up for weeks. Hi Anne, good news about the dreaded covid. Good luck with getting a plumber! There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Hi, Anne! I've decided not to tell Travisina that had my flu jab, too, but had absolutely no reaction whatsoever, not even a sore arm. (Shh!) I think people who have 'flu and Covid jabs at the same time - as she did - might feel it more, though. My husband never reacts to jabs, either. And he didn't even catch Covid off me when I had it. Amazing resilience! I'm not jealous at all... really... There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

I like this episode - it's much the best one in the first half of series 4, I think. A lot of nice details. I agree. Lots of character and story set ups, and the exterior fight scenes are possibly the best in the whole of B7. And I like the music. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

This is the only episode where we see someone smoking - an eccentricity at this period, I think. Came up recently in conversation with Peter Anghelides, and he mentioned that in an early draft of the script for Bounty, one of the items Blake finds in Sarkoff's antiques collection is smoking-related (can't remember now what it was, possibly a pipe?) - Blake doesn't know what it is, and Sarkoff explains that inhaling the smoke of dried leaves was a thing people used to do. This was quite prescient of Terry Nation, especially as he was a heavy smoker himself. Smoking was everywhere else on TV (and IRL) in the 1970s, but perhaps the BBC wanted to discourage it in a series aimed at youngsters? So smoking isn't a thing in the B7 universe, and Traitor is indeed the only ep where you see anyone doing it. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

I like this episode - it's much the best one in the first half of series 4, I think. A lot of nice details. Hi Anne Glad to hear that the trials and tribulations are sorting themselves. I like this episode too, for all those details. Too many people get bogged down with Avon's tunic (which, ages ago, we determined must have been bought at Space KMart) and Sleer's make-up. Furthermore, I love the uniforms, the pointy sideburns AND Servie's new look. When That Tunic is on display at conventions (most recently at 'Forever Avon' ) Steven Pacey always delights in saying that it suited him better! I don't like Servie's make-up, or her costume. They really had to go some way to make a naturally beautiful woman look so grotesque! The pointy sideburns are cute, though. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

The answer to the first part of the Avon's tunic thing is that Tarrant and Dayna take them from the trussed-up Helots. The Helot got his from Space KMart. A popular theory is that when the Liberator exploded, the wardrobe room landed on Helotrix. One of the Helots is wearing Jarvik's outfit, Tarrant is wearing Avon's, Dayna is wearing Vinni's... Hang on - when did Dayna and Tarrant change their clothes? Their return to the Scorpio in their previous outfits drives me nuts. The continuity person must have been on holiday, or something. Presumably all the studio scenes were shot on the same day, so their departure and return would be have done at the same session, but surely somebody was keeping track of what they wore on location? Or maybe the teleport is like the Batpoles in 'Batman' TV series - I spent considerable childhood hours trying to figure out how they changed from normal clothes into Batman and Robin outfits while sliding down the poles. A wee comment here from your nearest nerdy archaeologist and sometime tobacciana specialist: the funny thing about the cigarette in question is that it is the perfect "index fossil". In other words, it dates the episode to a very specific period. No-one with any real taste would have been seen dead smoking that particular brand any time other than within a few years of its introduction in 1975. Definitely declassé by the early 1980s, especially amongst men. However, the brand is still sold and appears in a recent film. The '70s have been fashionable for a few years now...
