I love how the director frames Dev Tarrant in all the scenes, in the background when Blake is talking with Foster. It is telling you he's the criminal and watch out!

The first time I watched this ep was in 2011. Way back (!) in the time of the original transmission, I had only caught a few episodes of series 4. It was very interesting to finally get to know the eponymous Blake after all those decades... That's so amazing to me that you saw the early stuff so late in life. Better late than never. It makes me wonder how a grown up reacted to seeing it 1st time. You claimin' you a grown-up, then? Never! I mean, seeing as a teen in 1978 (me) is different to seeing it in 2011 at age 46/47. I was 24 in 1978...gawd I feel old Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!! This explains a lot about why Blake's plans are so prone to failure...his mind doesn't work properly, any more.

The Federation never had much style. Look at all the people sporting fringes or bangs to their hair styles, and the horrible shag carpeting in Ven Glynd's office!
