The water under the bridge is fair raging. Must have been rain, don't you think Anne Arthur with the Tarrant rain bonnet?
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Is it the fact that it can control it that ORAC doesn't like about the robot, I wonder? He likes being the one in charge. |

I love it when a meme I've started keeps on giving. Buddleia are fantastic things. As are Prawn Cocktail Pringles. Anyway.... have all the 'magnetic' bombs fallen off yet?

Sorry to disappear - had a callback from Morrisons about my Delivery Pass (after hanging on the line for 20mins this morning). Great timing... Hi MsVirn! There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

It's cold and wet down by the bridge, but at the hydroelectric generator it's a bright sunny day. |

I love it when a meme I've started keeps on giving. Buddleia are fantastic things. As are Prawn Cocktail Pringles. Anyway.... have all the 'magnetic' bombs fallen off yet? I love Buddleia - we had such a gorgeous one in our front garden for years. Dark purple, scent like warm honey, full of bees and butterflies. Passersby would stop to take pictures (and, I suspect, cuttings). But alas, it's dead now, nowt left but a dried out stump. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Am I right in thinking some people actually LIKE this episode? There are ludicrous bits, especially the daft android, but it isn't badly written at all, with a fair amount of humour. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Not one of my favourite episodes - mostly because the android looks so clumsy and awkward. But it has some good moments, and I like the last line (even though I think that ORAC has carefully chosen Avon over the android because he knows that he can outwit him), |

They don't seem to attract the butterflies much as yet, but they are still quite small. I think of Blake's 7 every time I see them now! |

When the PGP era comes round, we need an episode where Orac is properly in charge. No doubt it would have to end in tears because of all the superstitious half-wits... "You're not sulking, I hope?"

I suppose I think of Laurel as the funny one and Hardy as the straight man - and my memory is that Hardy thought he was the brains of the outift, but wasn't really. I'm not sure that that is how I see the ORAC/Avon relationship - rather, I think that they are both using each other, both know it, and both are happy with that, |

There's an absolute honey of a middle colour, more magenta than purple or mauve, but I couldn't get mine to last. We were going through a drought then, however, so maybe I could try again. Mollycoddle those babes. Well worth it. And take cuttings so that ther's someone there to take over if you lose one. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Buddleia - you can buy dwarf varieties now. And there's a white one. Ours are just bog-standard and rampant. OK, time to do something useful, I suppose. Thanks for having me, even tho I was tied up (figuratively) for most of it. Good to hear from you all. Bye! "You're not sulking, I hope?"

See you next time! You have my sympathy! I seem to do nothing these days except work, and try to get my various employers to pay me. I currently have a fee from Canada which seems to have been sent to the wrong account, because it isn't in mine - and they keep saying that my bank should investigate, although, apart from say 'we haven't seen the money' I don't see what my bank can do - and, although we are now halfway through term, the University of York still hasn't sorted out my contract. Still, at least the house seems to be holding together better - touch wood! |
