45th Anniversary rewatch - D11 Orbit
Hugbot
Good that the fake Orac doesn't come out of the blue but could already be seen in Games! That was genius!

Brad
And now the concept of the Neutron Star is planted.

Brilliant script.

Old Starkiller really suffered some brain damage after the rapid decompression that occurred when Liberator attacked Fed HQ.

Egrogrorian is being a bit self deluded here. Does he have a plan to prevent Servalan killing him once she has everything?

Not as such. Either he's willing to accept her offer - partnership - which is unlikely, or I think he's planning to get rid of her as well, and imagines he's clever enough to stay one step ahead. He doesn't know her as well as we do, does he?

Yes, he is no longer the man he once was - the only human ever to destroy a Minbari cruiser.

Brad
And unobtainable..... The mother of all plot points.

It's all they gave her to do, alas.

Orac's sounding rather too smug when he announces they won't make it. Shouldn't it/he be worried?
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Lurena
Nice detail, Orac shifting place when that shuttle sets to manual.

Now come on Avon! Strip!

It has come to completely rely on Avon's surviving skills, I guess.

Could be Paul's best moment as an actor, the slow, even painful change of expression as Orac states, Vila weighs 73 Kilos.

And how did Orac know about Vila's weight? That brings me to a fan fiction...

You have to give it to Avon, he ejects the tachyonn funnel without a second thought.

Compary this to Jayna Cobb in Jaynestown who first threw out his buddy and only when that didn't work he ditched the booty.

The only thing that could have made this more tragic, is if one of them had died anyway.

Powerful stuff. What would this mean for the crew? I thought back then.

Character to boo - Orac. For making sure Avon focused on Vila rather than himself.

Magnificent!

Lurena
Orac is by far the most selfish character of the whole B7!
*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

I remember seeing a trailer for Picard, where a lady addressed Picard and says, 'I know I'm safe with you.' Made me bursting out with laughter as the phrase was obviously meant completely differently as what we associate with it.

That's the problem with Orac, always giving more information than requested, or less information than requested, but never just the information requested.

That's true.
It is so gripping that one holds her breath and can only watch.

Great rewatch - thank you all for the company! Good night and nice dreams of stripping Avons! Frown

Paula
Orbit has always been hard to take, even seeing it 80 or more times in my time in fandom. But it ain't nothing as compared to what is coming in two weeks. Blake! So happy Holidays, if you can manage it. And I look forward to doing it all again come January. Self-renewing, never ending B7! 'Night.
Resist the Host

Can anybody tell who originally said "You are Always Safe with Me", or from which movie it stems?
