'somewhere in Oxfordshire' apparently. A private home and they didn't want it identified, I believe. I've got something about it somewhere. Cornbury House near Chipping Norton. It was on the market a few years back. You can go there for events but it's not open to the public. I like the idea of going there for events. Hiring it for a Servalan-themed party, perhaps? I think the events have to be EVENTS. There's a music festival and I know there were book signings a few weeks ago. Check out the On the Market pdf which has good pics of the interior. You'll recognise the dining room. Yes, I'm seeing horse trials on google. |

You definitely get the sense here that Avon has become a harder person since he and Anna were together, that the marshmallow centre has shrunk as the choccy coating has got thicker.

Really felt sorry for Avon. He ended up killing Anna but I don't think he intended to. That iterigation officer really didn't know Anna it seems.

Well, that's over for another year. Great plot, pity they couldn't find someone who could play Shrinker as a stronger character. Don't go on about him being a bully who is really a coward - that's for the lower ranks. He'd need a stronger inner core to do what is claimed for him. But that's about my only 'beef' with this episode. Hope you all enjoyed it.

Sorry you missed it. Yes, Avon is a very tragic figure. He didn't intend to kill Anna but he had to – dog eat dog as they say. And you're right, Shrinker never knew who Bartholomew was.
