Part of the reason I want to go to Bamburgh (even more difficult to reach from Cornwall), apart from the obvious, is that a friend has said that there are no sand beaches in the UK, only 'pebbles'. Hmmm. I've seen one or two sand beaches there but want photographic proof to show her. A lot of sand beaches on the east coast, from Yorkshire up to Caithness. Also in the Hebrides - shell sand, almost white, very lovely. Yes, seen some in Wales, too. Up in Scotland saw some from the train heading up to Scrabster. There were bunnies everywhere. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Since I was a young teenager always wanted a pc that could think on its own & communicate on his own. Then saw ORAC well that made me more determined to get one.

Years ago I had a boss who had a computer that talked. If you gave it a disc it said “Thank you very much” in a very cheery voice. If the disc needed initialising it then said “Aw crap,” because it had to do some work. If you hit the shut down button it would do an Arnold Schwarzenegger and say “I’ll be back!”. |
