Seeing nothing planned this weekend might have a B7 marathon even tho seen the series multiple times still get a buzz when I watch them in particular ORAC & BLAKE (final ep).

Blake is amazing - still impressive, even when you know what happens.

I am planning a rewatch myself sometime. At the moment I am rather invested in the tennis.

He's not pompous enough to be Space Command. Maybe a terrestrial SAS type.

He seems quite pompous to me! But yes, more planetary experience than deep space.

We clearly move in very different circles. Grant is quite laid back. More the survivalist type without the Bear Grylls hype.

I always forget that we don't know the relationship between Anna and Del until the end. When I first saw this, I wondered if they were rivals. Avon and Grant, I mean.

AnneArthur
I do like Blake's little smirk at the end. Avon's assumption that his love affairs are so much deeper and more significant than anyone else's . . .

Knowing Anna as we now do, they probably were. Rivals, I mean. She ends up working for the Feds as a double agent, he's a mercenary -what a delightful family that must have been.

But he does do a little warm twinkle before telling Blake he doesn't understand. I think he's just saying "Mind your own business" in a way meant to deflect interest. That's why Blake laughs – because it's Avon-predictably thorny. I don't think Avon is saying that his love affairs are deeper.

Indeed we are. I can admit to spending a fair wack on B7 memorabilia.

Whether or not Del Grant puts his bracelet on Space ebay remains to be seen.

Oh well, back to another day when it looks as though it won't be warm enough to put on one of my summer skirts. I'm getting sick to death of jeans!

Well, I enjoyed that. It's a good story. There are some slightly daft things like the space craft sitting in a cradle in a shiny white room, but I always enjoy how it moves the whole story on in different ways – lots of avenues to explore. And Paul Shelley is a good baddie, if you catch my drift.

Yes, it's a pity he didn't hang around for a few more episodes.

And with that, I'm signing off. Have a fun week everyone. Due to the aforementioned Walk, I have the house to myself for the weekend (other half has gone as support team). I may join Pilot in a binge-watch, or actually do some gardening, or... who knows?

Great company, medium-rated episode ( since Servalan isn't even mentioned) , hope to see you all again next time.

I know what you mean Anne. We barely had Summer here. Maybe two days. Temperatures were mainly cool and it rained interminably. Winter is about to start and it doesn't seem all that much different. Sad

I hope things are better in the south as I'm not planning on bringing my Winter wardrobe to the UK with me in July.

Er, should have added, enjoy having the house to yourself and have a great week! See you next time MsVirn.

I need to get into the garden to do some planting, between rain showers. Still, there's always the tennis to binge-watch!
