Reeve is a creep whose clothes don't fit. I, certainly, wouldn't have chosen him for my crew unless he had something else superior to offer. ![]() He's very good at being a creep. Not qute as good as Justin, though. He doesn't last long enough to be in Justin's league. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Got the earrings?? Why do her crew have weird lumps on their shoulders? Because Nicholas Rocker liked using them. Because it was the eighties, and shoulders were big? Only very early 80s. Shoulders weren't big yet. And I was/am a sewer and have the Vogue patterns (and sewing experience) to prove the shift to big shoulders. Maybe Nicky Rocker led the trend. ![]() Those lumps would make good rockers. Maybe that's what they are - in case they land awkwardly (very awkwardly, I mean). "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Hello, how are you all? I have a late note. ;-) Let's see it, then! Glad you made it. But have you signed up for the Advent calendar? Some retrospectives of Tycecon wojuld be nice! Sure have signed up. But having a look at it right now, it looks like I’m gonna have to have a think if I can come up with another entry. Obsidian, I don’t suppose you’ve come up with a date yet for Tyce Con 2 |

I rather like Keller's insignificance - it's the logical conclusion of the 'What does s/he see in him/her' trope. Servalan, amazing as she is, cherishes a hopeless love for an unremarkable bloke. There's a W H Auden poem called Who's Who, which describes a Great Man in the first verse, then continues: With all his honours on he sighed for one Who, say astonished critics, lived at home; Did little jobs about the house with skill And nothing else; could whistle; would sit still Or potter round the garden; answered some Of his long marvellous letters, but kept none. That's the Servalan/Kellner dynamic, I think. |

Servalan is SO good at these put-downs. One might almost think she'd had occasion to use them herself. Best one I heard IRL was my friend Ros, when we were 17 and being bugged by some teenage boys sitting behind us in the cinema - "Will you two assified worms go and evaporate!"

Rocker probably was ahead of the trend. |

I still have all my pattern books, sewing/knitting from the time and they were becoming more popular. By 85-86 they were the thing. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

That probability square has water at least twice. Also, how do you get the right facts, conclusions etc printed out in 3-D to order for your particular conundrum, if you're not sure what they are yet?

The probability square is the weak spot of this episode - however it works, it just seems silly. And we never see Avon consulting it again. |
