Phew! Made it. But the DVD player in my computer is thinking about it and decided to open itself somewhere in the extras without my asking. Time for a new new computer. How are youse MsVirn? Tyce?

I’m good thanks.

That's good. Any news on Sirens?

No, and unfortunately I’ve been crazy busy for the last 2 months and haven’t had 2 seconds to breathe let alone follow up (as I would like to) with Siren. I’m feeling very guilty.

Drat it. Was hoping you'd be less busy than I am.

I like the way Tarrant clearly knows that his brother is first champion of Teal, but doesn't tell the others, although he is clearly eager to watch the combat.

And I've got a job interview on Thursday. Just shelf-stacking/checkout work in Waitrose, but it would bring in some money.

A job is a job, wherever. If it pays the rent it's worth doing.

Talking of new computers, I had to replace my laptop a couple of weeks ago. Took me a while to beat it into submission, but have now discovered it plays MINECRAFT! I've been missing it - my old one was too slow to make it run. My connection to my cadets is restored!!

Does this mean Tarrant is from Teal

I'd just like one that doesn't make watching paint dry seem an attractive proposition.

I think it is suggested that he is a mercenary, who has sold his services to Teal. Yes -
he left Earth a long time ago' says Del.

I would hope Deeta is NOT diplomatic. So glad I got to talk to 'Max' before we lost him. He was quite hunky as Jo Grant's main squeeze in Dr Who.

He was such a good fighter (see Obsidian's comment above) they gave him honorary citizenship. He's the only applicant, btw, and they didn't explain the rules until after he signed. Just like his brother, really.

I think Servalan makes an excellent neutral Arbiter. She understands what rules are all about. Not that they apply to her, of course. She knew about Deeta then? So Del came along just at the right time to give her an outside chance of getting her hands on the Liberator, or Orac, or Avon... oh, wait a minute...

He plays an excellent drooby 3rd secretary as Max (Chris Boucher's doing, of course). But I did rather like the long-haired 70s' ecowarrior-scientist in Dr Who.

In these post-war times, even Servalan has to economise.

No. This dress has twinkles down the front. The Warlord dress is dead plain with no folderoles.

I would have thought any sort of 'signal' added to an android skull would cause problems with interference, unless the techies were VERY clever. Or had access to the resources of the whole Federation. So whose idea/design was the android?

Good point, although twinkles are easily removed. I think the Warlord one had spaghetti shoulder straps, too, come to think of it.

Always assumed that it was one of Servalan's pet scientists. But saying something was inscribed on the skull doesn't mean that the android has it, only the human competitors.

But Vinnie wasn't human. He had to transmit a signal for Dayna to follow his side of the duel.
