Which attractive waterway is this? Anyone know off-hand? The filming was done at a reservoir near Ripon, Yorkshire. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Maybe Kerrill's like a sort of human sopron - makes herself whatever she needs to be for her companion. A survival trait.

Vila, the hero, to the rescue!! Yay! As Avon has realised, Vila is often the difference between winning and losing, even if he's not always centre stage. He's useful, and that matters. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

I was trying to find a photo, but couldn't do so quickly, of the mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini and assorted other Iranian saints and notable. The latticework and green lighting of this inner room are exactly the same.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Dyall sounds as good as he looks. Excellent casting for both roles.

Dyall sounds as good as he looks. Excellent casting for both roles. I always remember him as Trevor Howard's friend who arrives home early and has a fit that Trev is meeting there with his lady-love in Brief Encounter. He was very smooth and unctuous. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Now I'm going to remember him as a long tall smoothie - of that green stuff Servalan likes to drink, but a pastel version, more like the colour of his costume. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

It's very effective in Iran also. Here I really like the pared-back look. The designer might even have been to Iran as the Revolution only occurred in 1979. Various mausolea were already there with this deco. Edited by Obsidian on 05-08-2023 10:15 Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I didn’t know Dr Who could do hand to hand combat. And Colin was supposedly pulled from Dr Who because the powers that be decided it was getting too violent. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Orac is prescient, naughty little box. It might have foretold everything else that happens. I guess they didn't ask, the way Blake did.

Keril was taking a bit of a risk wasn’t she? Asking to go to a new planet, 3,000 light years away, with a race of people she knows nothing about including no idea what their culture is. In fact, the only thing she knows is there’s no civilisation there. |

Orac is prescient, naughty little box. It might have foretold everything else that happens. I guess they didn't ask, the way Blake did. That may be because in the 1970's they weren't used to things like Alexa dictating their every move. It's more normal now to consult AI-like devices, and probably more so in the third calendar. But our heroes are all throwbacks to an earlier age, apparently. Edited by M1795537OCVirn on 05-08-2023 10:33 "You're not sulking, I hope?"

I was just talking to my brother about it earlier – going back to live in the village in Syria where I'm happy with the dictatorship just in order to get away from the baloney of politics at every level here. Nope! I’ll take crazy democracy over a dictatorship any day of the week. |
