Hello. Here on time for once. I'm in the middle of a very complicated job application, so nice to have some Blake's 7 to start the day off with. I like this episode too - and it definitely ends on a high note Grin . Plus, it's where I started watching as a teenager, so there's a sort of relaxing into familiarity.

Hi AnneA. Job applications are not a fun thing to do. Some B7 ought to help ease you into the day.

This one wants a teaching plan, a research proposal, a video of me teaching, and a statement of how I will align with the values of Durham University (I've never known a university do that before, although I'm told that it's normal for companies) - basically, the moon on a stick. Hope your preparations for Europe are going well.

Durham's a great place. Did a Summer School there once. They're just trying to weed out the less serious applicants, I expect.

Avon looks exhausted. Great acting, or a late night?

But everything is run as a business now because unis are run by bean counters with endless MBAs. They really only want to know how you are going to make them money, so you have to stress how your brilliance will bring in countless fee-paying students. Postgraduates are the preference because unis get more for them. It's why everyone these days has a PhD: unis get paid more for them.

What have they done to the seam on Her frock? It's almost diagonal.

We used to spend holidays at Seahouses, just down the coast, when I was a child. Same amazing beach.

I don't think they have any, do they?

I've decided that the diagonal seam is something to do with how the fabric hangs. Makes it look like there's more than there is, and it's all floaty (technical term).

Fabulous beach. Have to go there so that I can provide further proof to a friend that there are sand beaches in the UK. Photographed a few for her last year. Honestly! Who does she think invented buckets and spades? Australians?

But it does seem (no pun intended) that one panel of the dress is narrower.

Yep. Probably because of the stretch in the fabric. Desperate to sew straight.

He was a bit early for disco.

Eddie Grant is also from Guyana. Unless it's the only name there, maybe he is related to Cy. Interestingly, his wife's name is Ann... That Grant name.

OK, so we all had the same glitch. Does that mean we get to go back and watch it all over again?
