Hi Tyce! Starting now... PS Still blown away by ABBA Voyage! On the plane back from Israel last week, I found myself sitting with a family (2 youngish blokes beside me, parents + another son in front) who were on their way to England for 4 days, just to see ABBA and a bit of London ![]() Awesome. It was impressive wasn't it. Quite out of this world. |

Are we counting how many times Avon gets knocked unconscious in this ep? It's a bit early for a drinking game, but do have a cup of coffee to hand. So far: unconscious by unknown assailant, lying on straw. No too early at all - well for us Aussies anyway....... *hic* |

Hello everyone, sorry I'm late. Problems with the internet. Gunn Sar is just questioning Avon. Hi Anne Arthur. I hope you are well. |

'You smell like a man'. Cue Avon fangirls fainting. Hi Anne! LOL. I have a sneaky soft spot for Gun-Sar. He's all bluster, but a softy underneath. And such gorgeous hair! There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Hi, Anne. How's your term going? Are you better? Had my first class yesterday, by zoom, which wasn't ideal. I think I'll have to do a lot of consolidating next week. The electric sockets in my kitchen have gone, so I have been without a fridge or a washing machine for a week - the shower has gone too. Still waiting for an electrician. |

Juat in case anyone doesn't know about TT's drinking game (see the UK rewatches), here it is: Before we go any further, it’s time to introduce the Season Derek drinking game: Here’s the number of sips/swigs per each of these: Avon is knocked unconscious 1 A scientist dies (per scientist) 5 A member of the main cast wears the same costume as last week (per costume) 2 There’s the sequence (or part of the sequence) of Scorpio landing / taking off at Xenon Base 3 Vila drinks something red (per scene) 10 Tarrant falls in love 5 Soolin shoots someone (per person) 5 Slave says “sorry” (each mention) 1 Each mention of “Sleer” 2 Avon laughs manically and/or smiles inappropriately 5 There’s a downbeat ending in sharp contrast to the jangly end theme 10 The final shot of the episode includes Paul Darrow 3 A member of the main cast is killed or stunned (per cast member) 1 bottle of wine / 1 can of beer "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Feeling better now, although I was still testing positive yesterday. Beginning to get fed up with this. Glad you're feeling better, shame that you are still testing positive. Urk, the dreaded Covid - sorry you've got it, Anne. I had it at the beginning of August. Weird thing was that I tested negative for the first couple of days and thought I just had a really bad cold/cough. On the 5th day - when I was already starting to feel better - I tested positive. Go figure. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

After seeing the end of the Liberator & seeing Scorpio blast onto the scene I grown a liking to it & SLAVE I rather like Scorpio - a plain workhorse of a ship, nothing fancy. It was a sensible production decision. Nothing could be as magnificent as Liberator, so instead of trying to recreate or better it, they went for a plain, basic ship, in need of lots of upgrades (teleport, stardrive etc) - which also provided plot devices for several episodes. Go figure. I haven't felt too bad with it - like a mild flu. I'm quite tired now, but feeling a bit less so every day. But it's as if time is standing still at the moment. Very tedious. |
