Kind of. I think Libby has to be destroyed at this point for Series D to work properly.

Only as it turned out. Nobody who worked on the show knew it was going into a 4th series.

They only found out that evening when the BBC chap announced it

But he lied. He said Blake's 7 will be back later this year. The next episode was the repeat of Aftermath in around June 1981. That's 15 months. 15 months was forever at the age I was at.

6-year-old me was a little upset at this point!

I was too young to realise he was the one to blame. I blamed Servie and was quite happy when she 'died' at the end.

Wrong again, then.

I told my dad Zen was dead (correct), the Liberator was destroyed (correct), Servie was dead (correct at this point) and Blake was back (I got confused! )

True bust the best endings and cliffhangers
Blake’s 7

When we saw the repeat in July (?) 1981, I realised my mistake. Was just a bit older by then. I remembered the 8 repeated Series 3 episodes much better than the 5 which weren't.

The Series 4 repeats were annoying on Saturday early evenings in the summer of 1983... only saw half of them... silly time for repeats. Season 3 repeats were (I believe) Monday evenings.

I didn’t think they repeated till years later

I was a young sad, mad. I knew exactly WHICH episodes were repeated even as a kid!

I remember thinking I would miss the repeat of Sand because we went swimming that Saturday, only to watch it at my grandparents! Result!

Thanks everyone for your company - great, if somewhat sad, episode. I never wanted this season to end.

See you next week, when we lose Cally, but we gain someone else instead... Grin

The summer 1981 repeats of 8 Series C episodes were on Monday evenings. I saw the lot, although had to miss the first few minutes, because my mum wanted to see the end of the bl**dy Krypton Factor and said B7 was only a repeat.

The summer 1983 repeats (whole of Series D) was around 5.30pm on a Saturday and a major pain. I only saw Rescue, the first half of Traitor, Stardrive, Headhunter (my favourite episode at the time), Games, Sand and Orbit. We were holiday in Devon for Warlord and Blake. I could have asked my uncle to record Blake on his Betamax video recorder like he did with Star Wars, but hated the episode at that point. I missed the first half in December 1981 due to the school carol concert and didn't see the whole of Blake until 1991 and still hated it. It's now my favourite episode.
