Is there a second meaning for "wet foot" in your language? If so, please explain? Don't think so. There is 'wet blanket' someone who spoils other's fun by complaining, etc. Putting your foot in it,means I said or done the wrong thing ,same as dropped him in it. Ah putting a foot in is a well-known saying here too. *No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*
